  1. This was my full statement stat2city Not your convienient shortened version Where is my denial? I am just saying if NDSU did everything you wanted them to do, that still would not be enough for you. You would still want them to make more changes such as maybe making sure all the cheers are for positive plays, no booing, seatbelts for fans, etc.
  2. Don Morton was not even the head coach of a high school football team. He was the Bison Offensive backfield coach prior to becoming head coach.
  3. star2city: I do not think anything NDSU would do to deal with the matter would be good enough for you, short of closing the school. At least NDSU is doing something about it. Hopefully this will not happen again. Racism and Bigotry should not be tolerated. Also it must be nice to know that UND fans can post slander and bigotry on other boards, and come back to this board and be safe. The bigotry was directed at me. I know all UND fans are not like this person, but they must feel safe here.
  4. Where did it say it was not being taken as a serious matter? Of course this is a serious matter!!
  5. Siouxrock, this is very hypocritical of you. What names where you calling me and saying about me on another board. I bet you don't dare say them again on this board. The post having since been erased because of their content. 99% of the companies in america would have fired you for those remarks. Racism should not be tolerated.
  6. You are probably right with a normal DII program, 12,000 seats are about right. The Bison have had years of over 14,000 average per game. With the move to I-AA, 12,000 won't be enough seats. Many of the I-AA schools have hugh followings. Montana for one would fill the Fargodome. If UND went I-AA they would have to expand the Alerus eventually. Sicatoka mentioned there is the capability.
  7. Thanks for the info PCM, Lawkota and Sicatoka!
  8. The Wild players would know. So what makes REA stand out from the Xcel?
  9. I don't mind talking hockey. I am not a big college hockey fan. I live in the Twin Cities, hockey hotbed of the Midwest. Even at the University of Minnesota Basketball is watched more than hockey. Ask Sid Hartman (just kidding). We have had both Basketball Final Four at a poor site, Metrodome, and Frozen Four at a great site, Xcel, and Basketball drew a much larger following, and much more excitement around town. High School hockey is more exciting, and if I want to watch a higher level, the NHL will do. Therefore, I would rather see the Bison move up to I-AA than sport a hockey team. One other question, how does the Ralph compare with the Xcel? Not as a college venue, but as a state of the art arena.
  10. From Lennon's comments, has UND started the process for a DI move?
  11. Tom DeSautel was a good receiver for Hastings. Started out as a QB, but didn't pass as well in games as he did in practice. Schumann took over and led them to the large school championship. With DeSautel and Majeskie Hastings went from 2-2 to State Champions. Should be fun if Majeskie lines up at Safety and defends DeSautel.
  12. The last couple of times the recruits looked this good was the year Lamar Gordon was recruited and the year Phil Hansen was recruited. The Hansen class included Chris Simdorn (Harlan Hill Winner), Pat Pringle (Grand Forks), Dan Goettl, Ken Clark, Tom Johnson, and another Hastings Grad Marty Sieh to name a few. Two years later Simdorn with starters Hansen, Pringle and Goettl won the National Championship. Time will tell, but it looks good this year.
  13. Wacker didn't leave the Bison with much when he moved on. From what I have seen, and I have seen several of the recruits play High School ball, the new coach will have some good players to work with. At least Babich left a great bunch of recruits.
  14. Today's Fargo Forum: Anti-Division I bill blasted By Janell Cole forumcap@btinet.net The Forum - 02/04/2003 BISMARCK
  15. I think the PR thing is overblown. Over time due to the scholarship differences, I can see that NDSU and UND could stop playing each other. Doesn't matter to me on bit who cancels first.
  16. Todays Fargo Forum: "NDSU has eight men
  17. Size does not matter. Notre Dame has an enrollment of approx. 8,000 students. They do fairly well at the Division I level.
  18. Here's a start: Robbie Meek, Bloomington Jefferson, 6'1 210
