I have to say, and many Devils fans agree with me, that Travis Zajac is much improved this season. I thoroughly enjoyed just watching him pick Ovechkin's pocket. He's also got a faceoff percentage of 56% so far. Oh and, Zach with a goal as well.

I have the full season pass, so I can click on any link without being prompted to pay. I was checking to see whether they archived the games from yesterday and when I clicked on the day 1 game 2 link I got the pregame feed of the zamboni clearing the ice with the UND - UMass pairing on the scoreboard, but that was at about 2 pm EDT, that feed is now down. Coincidently both women's hockey links are playing today's game. That's enough evidence to me that things might go wrong. This has never happened before, I don't think CBS has figured out how to play more than one event on one team's channel at the same time without messing up the links.

I'm gonna warn you all right now and I'm gonna warn you again whenever a game thread goes up. I'm checking the links for the Icebreaker games today and CBS has them wrong again. So if you're planning on trying to watch today's game you might want to wait until I tell you what link to pick so you don't inadvertently pay for something again. Right now the link for yesterday's BU - UND game has the feed up for today's UND - UMass game. Yes, that is f'ed up but it's CBS college sports/ CSTV's fault, they hate college hockey, so when you want your $$$ back go to them not BU.

I have a feeling I know what the problem is, but you're not going to like the answer. But anyway: I have the full year pass for BU All access. CBS has the feeds for the Women's and Men's game crossed. Both feeds show the women's game. The link to the first game is playing the Sioux - BU game for me. So, you might need to pay for that first game link. Sorry guys.

I watched the first game and never closed the window. Try clicking on the the link for the UMass - MSU game. I should probably change that location data too, I'm not in boston anymore.

If you click on a "watch" link from that page, providing you are using a compatible browser with the correct media player and plug ins, another window should open up with the channel. Click on a game in the schedule on the left side of the page and then it'll prompt you to register and pay. You can do all that before the game starts, and until it starts the player will tell you the game is unavailable. Game feeds usually don't go live until the exact listed start time, so when the starting lineups are announced. Also, in regards to pricing, according to BU, The Icebreaker is not included in the monthly subscription service to BU All Access that costs $9.95. So you will have to pay the $7.95 per event unless you have an annual subscription to the CBS College Sports XXL service, then it's provided to you for free.

I'm assuming you checked the XXL schedule. The Icebreaker isn't a part of that package, it'll be shown through the BU channel.

If you register for the all access channel and purchase a month subscription the games will be archived for you to access. Don't forget to cancel the subscription after the month though, because it works on autobill. BU will also create a highlight video the day after the game and those are free. And yes, there is no fog in Agganis Arena. We can have some shipped down from Newton if you like that sort of thing. Oh and for those coming out east who have been to Boston before, I heard that T's Pub (right near the arena) is closed and/or changing hands, so gotta find somewhere else to drink.

Both BU and UMass have a live streaming web service affiliated with CBS College Sports so all the Icebreaker games will be available online. Price is something like $7.95/game and either $12.95 or 19.95/ month (can't remember which). The feed is filtered directly from the scoreboard and it is linked up to the BU radio feed. Word of note though, while the Agganis scoreboard is in HD, the feed through the web certainly is not . . . but it's not that bad. You'll need IE for a pc or Safari if you're on a Mac and you'll need to download Microsoft Silverlight for it to work. You can access the service here and click on the "launch broadband channel" link towards the right of the page. None of the games were listed on BU's TV schedule so don't expect any station to pick them up on the fly.

Well, if you're okay with cheapness with a little bit of convenience . . . there's a hotel that just opened right next to to the Riverside T station in Newton, the Hotel Indigo. I've never been there and have only heard mixed reviews about the place, but it's got rooms for under $200 a night, it's not terribly too far out from the city, and the T is right there. Riverside is the D green line (yes, this is the line involved in the crash this past summer) so, you could take it into Kenmore then switch to the B line to get to Agganis.
