I swear, Zach Parise just spent the entire first period making Luke Schenn look awful. "Clearing attempt by Schenn picked off by Parise. . ." "Pass by Schenn stolen by Parise. . ." "Schenn another turnover taken by Parise. . ."

I kind of feel bad for UMass. Friday they scored the first 3 goals then gave up 6 unanswered. Saturday they scored the first goal then gave up 6 unanswered. And as UMass fans chant "BU Football" they score the extra point. Who needs a D-IAA football team when your hockey team can score a touchdown. But I don't feel bad for them because they injured the only real defensive d man BU has. Michigan up on Ferris 3 - 0 about to start the 3rd. And USCHO tells me that Harvard beat Princeton, Cornell beat Brown, and Dartmouth lost to Quinnipiac.

East scores: UVM beat Maine 2 - 1 NU beat UML 3 - 1 BC beat PC in OT 4 - 3 UNH still leading 1 - 0 over Merrimack in the 3rd BU leading UMass 4 - 1 nearing end of the 2nd
-
In the second: PC up 3 - 0 on BC NU up on UML 2 - 1
-
Notre Dame is leading MSU 2 - 1 with under 10 to go in the 3rd. And that's the way it ends. I'm getting that game, the Gopher game, and the Michigan - Ferris St. game on the tube tonight. PC up on BC . . . 2 - 0 in the first.

Parise's got great hand-eye coordination . . . Zajac scores because Parise was able to knock down that clearing attempt in mid air just outside the line. Lou Lams says he loves players that do the little things right. Well, Parise does the little things and the big things and I think we'll see just how much Lou loves him when he signs his next contract.

Parise should be arrested for Pick-pocketing. # 38 (stolen from HFBoards . . . full credit to RG)
-
Parise scores . . . number 37?
-
tOSU: 6 - Miami: 2 Final Yale beat Cornell. Dartmouth shutout Princeton.
-
That happened in HE this season too . . . in a BU - UNH game in October or November. All the officials suck.
-
Ohio St now up 5 - 2, under 6 to play.
-
You can cheer for the roof to cave in. That's what I do. VT beat Maine. Newton College beat PC. NU beat Lowell. And UNH beat Merrihack 4 - 3 BU damn well better have tied that game . . . angry Matt Gilroy is not fun to be around, seriously, he'll choke a *****.
-
That was one hell of a shift by the Devs . . . and Zajac scores. His 17th I think, a 3 point night.
-
And a goal . . . 36

Parise in a commercial with Getzlaf and Ovechkin

NU was 0-13 on the PP, gave up a SHG, but hey they broke 2 hands. Injuring two of the opposing teams best scorers? I'd call that a successful weekend for them.
-
Ohio St just took the lead over Michigan
-
NU on the PP for the rest of the game . . . and into OT again. They should change their mascot to the Divers. And BU should send them the bills for the orthopedic surgeons their players will require for their slashes which weren't called as penalties.
-
BU down two first line forwards . . . wonder who'll win this game.
-
Attention teams that play NU: they will try to break your hands. They've fractured the hands of 2/3 of BU's first line this weekend.
-
NU should decline PP's. I feel like I'm at Wrestlemania, this PA announcer is awful. Anyone know if Miami and Notre Dame won today? BC down to 21 in the PWR, that makes me smile.
-
Refs now giving the game to NU. And it's not hooking when you trip over your own net.
-
You know they only have two guys on the roster that aren't old enough to drink? I think they're trying to mimic Maine's success with 25 year old Canadians.
-
Vermont lost to UML (Lowell is a TUC) 1 - 0 UNH beat BC 4 - 2
-
Despite the best efforts of the refs and linesmen, NU still couldn't beat BU. Honestly, for the team that gets NU in the NCAA's, their game plan of late is to fall behind early, goon it up in the second trying to get calls, and then trap the hell out of the game in the third. This is not the way college hockey should be played. The linesmen flat out refused to call icing on NU. They missed 5 alone in the second period, yet they called multiple very delayed offsides calls on BU. /rant Game ended 2 - 2. Lots of close games in HE: Vermont tied UML (Vermont trending down, UML trending up). UMass Hamster beat Maine in OT, (when Maine drops as a TUC that'll be bad news for BC's NCAA hopes, and will also hurt UNH). UNH still leading BC 3 - 2.
