I beat you by like 3 weeks in the former players thread But for those who haven't seen it, Zach does a little bit of the Tiger Woods style juggling of a puck on his stick at the end, well he does it precisely once.

Someone finally spilled the beans on what's wrong with JPar. Apparently he suffered a concussion Oct. 14 and he is still suffering from dizzy spells. He will not be cleared to play until they subside. Of course this is not an official release from the Devils because they never tell you what's really wrong with a player (read Scott Stevens circa 2004 where "the flu" + upper body injury = post-concussion syndrome).

Smaby sent back down to Norfolk (AHL) yesterday. Bochenski in the lineup for the B's tonight again. He described his approach to playing as "trying not to do too much," just trying to get a feel for the NHL again I suppose. He's on the 3rd line tonight.

The pos better known as Sean Avery tried to get Parise to fight him tonight. He lined up next to Zach for a faceoff and was yapping his ear off. He's such a little *****. Read more about it here, including a comment that Avery has no idea who Zach Parise is.

Yeah, but Drew got dropped to the 4th line and he's not playing much. It sucks. Great hit on Schaefer though, maybe they'll consider giving him more than 2 shifts/period now.

Gotta love Matt Greene . . . there's a video on youtube of him and Dustin Penner on a gameday where Matt discusses his love of Celine Dion music.

Parise and Zajac have been reunited . . . Sutter is moving Parise back to LW from Center, and Zajac will center a line with him and Gionta. Also, the Devils had a little skating challenge in practice today, and Parise got beat by John Madden, which I find hard to believe.

Bochenski's 2 game conditioning stint in Providence is over and he was recalled to the Bruins. Here's an article about him from the New England Hockey Journal.

Yup, just got back from The Rock. Game pretty much sucked, but the arena is ridiculous. Here's a picture of Zach taking the ice for the first time at The Rock. I taped the whole pre-game intro from my seat, and I'll post it if anyone's interested in seeing it.

Exactly, it's a 2-game stint so he doesn't have to pass through waivers. Drew with the GWG for the Sabres tonight. And, I'm heading home to Jersey at the ass-crack of dawn tomorrow for the opening of the Devils new arena. I'll try and get some pics of Zach and Travis. I have a feeling Jordan will be there too since he's hurt.

Here is your useless Zach Parise fact of the night: When he signed with the Devils, he bought a condo which his mom helped him decorate. When he re-signed with the Devils, he bought a house, and invited his Dad down to come watch him play the Rangers tonight . . . if he helped him paint the house.

Bochenski's in the lineup for the Baby B's tonight . . . so far he's got a goal. JPar's not in the lineup again for the Baby Devils, no one seems to know what's wrong with him though.

I gave up my tickets to this game to spend some quality time with the boy. We're watching the Devs - Isles game . . . Zach just scored 55 seconds in. Also, JPar is hurt, he's not in the lineup for Lowell tonight. Don't know what happened though, he was at the BC game last night.

Hey, I'm not stalking or spying, but it's not my fault they're staying in a hotel I can see from my bedroom. I was coming back from work and I stopped to get groceries . . . they were standing outside the hotel waiting to get on the bus. Duncan looked spiffy.

The team has left for the rink . . . taking the most roundabout batsh*t way of getting there, but they left. Does Hak always make them wear suits for road games?

Malone's arm is in a sling, so he's definitely a no for tonight. I didn't want to stop him to ask him if he knew the exact damage, as he didn't look very happy.

Well that game was held at the DCU Centre in Worcester, which is about an hour South of Boston . . . but much like Conte, it's a dump.

I'm a she, unless you're referring to the Rink Rat. More links for those who remain unconvinced at the sheer stupidity of Newton University. BU - BC fog out - from the BU student paper INCH notebook on the same fog out INCH claims Conte was completed in '88, but that's no excuse not to update the arena, especially when it's happened three or four times prior.

Because when BU and BC got fogged out last season the CSTV crew harped continually on the fact that their is no air conditioning system in Conte. When the BC women's game cancelled due to fog they admitted that no air conditioning system had been installed in the offseason.

You'd hope . . . but they still did it.

They have air conditioning, unlike Conte.

If it's any consolation, Northeastern played their game tonight with no problems with power or fog. And their rink is actually in the city of Boston. So, tomorrow should be fine.

Actually, we're both wrong. USCHO says it was finished in 1994.
