  1. It's a boy! Per twitter, the Zajacs welcomed son Zenon Nathan this past week. I really hope that's not the name but either way congratulations.
  2. According to the Devils broadcast there's a future NoDak recruit about to be born. Though if it's a girl she might choose her mom's alma mater. Either way congrats to the Zajacs. Oh, and Travis will be out another 3 weeks at least with an inflamed achilles.
  3. Parise just scored on his first career penalty shot vs SJ
  4. Parise is filthy dirty in shootouts. Now, if only the Devs could win in regulation once in a while.
  5. Oh give 'em a break, they're not professionals, they're just students. It's only their second time covering women's hockey if anything at all. Now tied 1 -1 about half way through regulation.
  6. Long time no posts Sioux fans, but this is too good to pass up. Found it on hfboards for those who haven't seen it yet.
  7. Long time no posts Sioux fans . . . anyone seen this commercial yet?
  8. Zajac scores the Devils first goal of the season. The ZIP line member least expected. And Parise with the 2nd. UND 2 - Dallas 0
  9. According to Zach, Jordan Parise is at Rangers camp on a try-out. Traitor. link
  10. Parise took batting practice with the Twins for the second year in a row. Drew Stafford and JPar were there this year too. video at nhl.com Also answered questions on the Devils website link
  11. Darcy Zajac now a Devil . . . signed with the Devils new AHL affiliate in Albany. Link
  12. Some post-olympic Parise quotes:
  13. streams from hfboards if you happen to have any of those programs installed. And aren't all the games streamed on nbc.com? Today's game is listed http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/live-full-replays.html. I think someone said you just have to register and the quality is really good. Also, I posted a SI article on Parise in the Former Players thread for those who don't check it. It's quite colorful, not the same bland stuff they usually write about him.
  14. Sports Illustrated on Zach Parise (my favorite part is when Matt Greene calls him an oatmeal cookie) Say hello . . .
  15. He's quite legit, he's the Devils beat reporter for the Bergen Record. He and Rich Chere (from the Star Ledger) are the two bloggers/reporters to turn to for Devils news. Jordan is still listed on his Austrian team's roster. Edit: Details on Parise's injury:
  16. The Hockey News takes a look at Parise http://thehockeynews.com/articles/31426-VI...ld-in-2010.html
  17. Yup, it's Whitney and Gleason for Martin and Komisarek. (Komi is out for the rest of the season.)
  18. Parise is seriously going medieval on the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight . . . but he's only got 2 goals so far. He's had about 4 grade A chances for the hattie, so let's keep those fingers crossed.
  19. Honestly, I think twitter is evil . . . but Stafford is hilarious. http://twitter.com/drewstafford And for those completely averse to twitter, here's a Puck Daddy blog post about his adventures in San Jose.
  20. http://frozennotes.com/2010/01/05/bishop-c...amed-alternate/ The other alternates I have read about are Gionta and Craig Anderson; all the players that attended the training camp before the NHL season started know where they stand on the list of the reserves, but it's been slow leaking out of the media.
  21. They have already selected alternates, Oshie is one of them; so I would presume that any injury replacements would have to be one of the previously named alternates.
  22. Well, Drury did block a shot with his sternum last night, looked pretty bad. Media sources say Zach's linemate Langenbrunner will wear the "C"
  23. Parise will wear an "A" for US Olympic team.
  24. Bits and pieces from Devils blogger/reporter Tom Guilitti at Fire and Ice Parise talks: WJC, Olympics, and an update on his brother
  25. Oshie has been selected as an alternate, so maybe Drury or Komisarek will do their nation a favor and get hurt. Zajac finally broke his goal scoring drought at 12 games last night with 1 G and 1 A. Guess he finally listened to Jacques who said the only thing Travis needs to do is "Be more selfish and shoot the puck." Parise also had a goal last night.
