That's exactly right. I don't care that he's an NDSU guy, but I do care that he's totally overrated. As to him having a SB ring, yes, but he got it standing on the sidelines. Wentz never played in the playoffs that year. I have said this before, it was the Bison that made Wentz look good and not the other way around.

Wentz by far. I'm guessing Lance gets a chance to make good this year and will probably succeed. Wentz has had every chance and failed everywhere he went. I really wonder if any other team will take a chance on him after his track record.

I don't know what's stopping Bubba from hiring a totally new guy? Will he do that? Probably not, but he sure could if he wanted to. Replacing these two assistants is going to be very telling about the direction of the program for the next few years. New and an exciting change, or culturally inbred as before.

"Leaving to pursue other opportunities". So he's not even getting poached, just getting out. I'm not sure what to make of that

I know a few NDSU grads who complain constantly about Richman and how he's a worthless coach. Seems to me there used to a thread on Bisonville as well about Richman running the team into the ground. It always looked like he wasn't universally loved by many.

Extension? I hope not but I wouldn't be surprised either. I heard yesterday that NDSU secretly extended their coach last summer and that program is nothing to brag about. The Bison lost to both SDSU and USD this weekend. Maybe Chaves is smarter.

That should help us. I'm not fond of transfers in the first place, I figure if they were all that good they would have stuck it out where they were, but more importantly, I doubt the team will have gelled much by the time we play them. That's a lot of new people that have to mesh.

Why would anyone get excited over playing a non scholly team like Drake in a baseball stadium and 250 miles away from Brookings? No idea how far it is from Drake. I don't understand the allure of this for anyone.

The thing is the Eagles are playing very well once again since they dumped Wentz. I doubt it's a coincidence since they won their last SB with Wentz standing on the sidelines.

It's too bad they already hired a replacement for Stig. We had the perfect man for the job right here at UND that they could have had, it would have been a win/win.

Washington wins today 26-6 over Dallas with a fifth round never tested rookie QB. It makes Wentz look even worse than he did before. Do they have any trade value at all with him? I can't imagine any other team is going to want him period.

The problem is, we've now created a new monster. SDSU is very capable of taking off right where NDSU left off. We still need to figure out how to get past the first round of the playoffs and make the deep deep run. Until then, it doesn't really matter if it's NDSU or SDSU making the natty run.

It was ABC's decision and it shows just how irrelevant FCS football is.
