    UND v SUU

My God, what has happened to that once proud football program?

    UND v SUU

If the Bison are undefeated against this team, there's no way i'm picking the Sioux to lose. UND 30 SUU 24
  3. It's just prep for their big 10 application.
  4. ...and it was take them both or none at all!

Fat Tire is available (God maybe I shouldn't be replying to this) at Bridgeview liquors in Moorhead
  6. I like this sinking ship analogy. Let's play off it...Ever notice how some animals (UNC Golden Bears/NDSU Bison-can't account for those coyotes though) sense impending danger before humans (UND Sioux)? You were waist deep in water. Others saw it before you did and got out. We are all boarding a stronger ship. Put on your dry clothes and enjoy it!
  7. If that hasn't happened yet, it isn't going to happen.
  8. Can the athletic department maximize attendance by playing outdoors vs indoors? Back in the day I froze my a$$ off at Memorial Stadium in November with 5-6 thousand others (i'm guessing), and had a great time doing it, but how much higher can attendance go than it already has in the Alerus? Particularly if it is outside again?
  9. As you noted, SFA lost to tarleton-not exactly Grand Valley. If NDSU beats them by four or fourty, will it change your opinion of them after the game? A Bison win doesn't really tell us much about them (particularly to Sioux fans). But a Bison loss....
  10. Without question? That's bold.
  11. What will it matter...will you cheer for them if they do?
  12. thanks for teh insight, genious.
  13. It would be nice to get the focus back to a recent head to head match up, but in the meantime, many Bison fans will yap about UND in whatever way they can (inferiority of D-2/UND opponents/superiority of Fargodome to Alerus, football attendance, Bison championships, the list goes on) until the game is played on the field. It's the hazard of browsing these sites.
  14. Please God don't even start.
  15. You're dead on with home field being the key. But you list the wind first? I'd say it's more like the 4 national championships, 6 straight years opening the season at #1, a senior class that has gone 38-3 with a 12-1 playoff record, and 2 straight titles the program brings to that home field that is more troublesome. Wind or no wind, it's a tall order to win there.
  16. It seems to me things have turned out very well for both programs. Isn't this more of a fan issue than a genuine problem for either program?
  17. When I lived in GF my parents took the family to Fargo several times a year. When we moved to Fargo, we never went back to GF. I'll have to ask my parents for an explanation.

    2007 Fargo AirSho

I thought I remember an air show out at the base back when I lived in GF. Did GF used to hold one?
  19. Chapman flat out does whatever he wants. It would probably take a criminal charge for him to be fired. Even then he'd leave for another job first.
  20. As fans, sometimes we simply lose sight of the attractiveness of other opportunities because we get myopic about our own loyalties. Is it possible that the MSU job is worth taking, even if Lennon had a good relationship with everyone at UND? We don't necessarily have to list a bunch of 'cons' about Lennon at UND to justify the 'pros' about MSU.
  21. Actually, I'm gonna need more cowbell.
  22. At first glance, someone reading the following question will wonder how it relates to the lawsuit, but bear with me: In The Forum this morning there is an article about Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis. Francis is being sued by some women he put in his videos. "Lawyers for the women told US district judge Richard Smoak that Francis became enraged and verbally abusive during settlement talks. The judge ordered Francis to settle the case or go to jail. Negotiations continued with a mediator, but talks broke down last week and Smoak issued a contempt order." Can a judge simply order a settlement, and then hold one party in contempt if a settlement isn't reached (no matter how one party spoke to the other)? How can that hold up on appeal? I know the judge in the UND lawsuit has urged a settlement be reached, can he hold either party in contempt if one isn't reached? Or would that take UND or the NCAA to speak nastily to the other party? Or should such an order exist at all?
  23. that should help porter when he thinks about this game when he's in the nursing home
