That's a child's response if I've ever heard one. And after three kids...I have.

I don't think many here expect the behavior of angels. At the same time, it doesn't seem an unreasonably high expectation to avoid arrest.

What is South's record vs RR in the last 10 years?

How long can a player lie motionless on the ice with an "injury" until he/she has to be sub'd out? That's a good tactic to save a timeout.

Why wouldn't Tesch or Sawyer wouldn't be good choices (assuming they are interested)?

I wouldn't argue money is always the be all/end all. However, with a division 1 assistant, it isn't as though he's already signed a contract that secures his retirement. I wouldn't think it should be easy for him to take a significant pay cut. I do think he's a great candidate, but how much do you offer him? Does he deserve anything close to what Dale was making? Dale was here for a long time, and made two national title appearances. Unless I've been misinformed, Tibesar has no college head coaching experience. I'd be all for giving him the opportunity, but how much do you pay him, and will it be enough to allow him to leave KSU? As far as Bohl goes, once again I don't argue money is the be all/end all. I'm sure he did make more money as an assistant, but a paycheck from NDSU also beats unemployment. But with him, I'd definitely be shocked if he left for less money.

That's easy to write on a message board, but hard to practice. Most folks, even if they really wanted the job, couldn't just take a big pay cut. We all have a tendency to spend at a level at or above our income and cant just choose to make significantly less and still easily make our monthly payments. Tibesar is paid well, but not Nick Saban well.

That was disappointing. He laid there like he was out cold or dead, I'm in my seat thinking he's paralyzed or dead, then he gets up and doesn't even have to leave the ice! BTW, did anyone notice Finley mixing it up at the end? It looked like he slashed some guy at the buzzer and then got tossed, but I haven't heard anything about it.

Either of those would do very well.
-
By that criteria, SIU would be better than NDSU as well.
-
I think the UND job is better, but some disagree. Lennon also did something Jerry Kill never did (according to Saluki message board), win at Northern Iowa.

We have to accept that neither UND nor NDSU are destination programs any more, they are stepping stones. Success at these programs will attract attention from programs that the Sioux and Bison will have difficulty competing with to keep coaches. It's only a matter of time for Bohl, too. However, I'd argue that SIU isn't one of those programs, but given the pay and UND's transition, it's obvious the stakes are considerably higher than in the D-2 days.
-
I'd feel better about this if he were leaving at the END of the transition instead of the beginning. Can we get a do over?

Jefferson will have to play as good as they did this weekend, or even better to have a shot at even making the MN state tournament. Edina will be tough for them to get past in their section.
-
How about the '07 Jefferson team?

It would be nice if we could just order up four of the best to play their position. While we're at it, perhaps another Tarkenton or Eller?

I remember plenty of UND students complaining every spring of the stench coming from rotted potatoes. Not to mention the disgusting smell of "money" eminating from the Crystal Sugar plant year 'round. Not to mention the lovely backdrop that those two facilities, and I suppose you can include the state mill in this, provide the landscape of the north side. I spent too much time on both campuses, and they both have their warts.

If GVSU was the type of program that put a playoff run together every few years or so, and needed a favorable schedule to make a championship run, their sos would bother me more. But as it stands, their program has proven they are equal to any, and superior to most, programs in the country, and they've proven it over a long time. Yes the rest of their conference is weak, but too often opposing fans use that fact to conclude that maybe GVSU isn't as good as they seem. Look at it this way, the 49ers of the 80's played in a perennially awful NFC west, but they didn't let that stop them. They were just that good. So too has GVSU been that good. With that said, every team finally reaches the end of their run at some point (as the niners did). This may be that year.

The same Josh Morton formerly of WDAY TV and son of former Bison FB Coach Don Morton?

I advocate having every single game televised. The more people with an opportunity so see the product, the more fans will be created, and ultimately, more will buy a ticket. Seeing television as the enemy of the gate is outdated thinking.

I'd sacrifice UND's one year window for a bit of the goodwill betweem Florida State and the Seminole tribe.
