Born at the old barn as my Folks were and still are hockey fans. (Actually St Michaels Hospital now the Med School a slapshot away from the Ralph.) Ok Born in the Barn. Moved on the Winter Sports Arena which was later known as Engelstad Arena. After I got tired of that place I moved over to Ralph Engelstad arena. UND got tired of me after four years and issued me some kind of paper to get rid of me. I currently reside and work in the GF area and attend most all of the games.

It seemed fairly obvious this weekend that Wisconsin was shooting high everytime they had room as Lamareaux goes down too fast. The first goal Saturday that happened and there was one or two on Friday that that happened.

If I recall correctly the Oilers sat Greene out for a couple games and didn't fare so well. Once they got on a roll in the playoffs he was in every game. I for one was very impressed with his play for a rookie like that. He came a long way from his first year with the Sioux.

Hockey players are more saintly than football players.

We can only hope these guys get to meet bubba in prison.

Exactly right, even though they're fairly young (althought not that much younger than the Sioux this year) you can't risk them carrying a bad game forward.

I recall the CFB call. It was questionable, but probably a good call. I don't recall him getting a lot of other penalties.

Yep, I think when he gets a bit more comfortable he'll also be able to throw the big check. (I think he's worrying more about filling in his assignment right now.)

I don't agree with a lot of the comments here, but VV is turning out to be a heck of a player. I thought he had a great weekend against CC.

I was disappointed that Oshie's big check Saturday night wasn't' the check of the game, and we never got a replay. It was on the South West corner of the rink. He makes the pass and levels the guy coming in to check him. You just don't see that even out of big guys. As far as Toews I thought CC was shadowing him all night. He's got to get used to playing with the extra attention. He's certainly putting in the effort.

Jeez, these kids are 19, 20 years old. You should know it takes longer for the big players to develop. I think Finley will come around nicely. Is he playing great right now, no. Of course I'm sure the players are tougher on themselves than the impatient ones on this thread.

I'd be satisfied with more than five goals. (or at least more than the tiggers.

What'd you guys think of Forney tonight? This is the most he's played to my knowledge. He didn't get into the flow that much, but I liked what I saw. I think if he gets a regular shift he'll come along fast.

I thought the calll on Lee was a good call. He let the guy get around him and had to take the penalty. (I was at the game, no replay.) That's a must call by the official. That being said there were other calls earlier that should have gone in our favor that weren't made. At five minutes in front of the bench Chay Gennoway takes a butt end (probably covered with the glove) to the head, no call. A couple minutes later, Kozak takes an elbow to the head coming through the middle, no call. I thought those shot to the heads were must calls now.

The Herald said questionable today.

He (Carman) made no effort NOT to hit the goalie. That's a clear penalty.

I think that once the defense and goaltending gel the offense will come.

I don't get it that we shouldn't talk about the officiating. (Maybe it should be on it's own thread.) As for me I think Minnesota gets some favoritism. However I don't blame the league for the number of penalties we've taken this year. Most of those have been good calls on bad plays.

I didn't consider the games against the US Under 18 Team being all that crucial. (I'm sure you meant Wisconsin in two weeks.

Next time I trip across that video (could be tomorrow or five years from now) I'm going to post that hit on youtube.
