  1. How bout this? Jail the bison Jail the bison Jail the biiiison down in Cass narcotic dealers, bare butt revealers Jail the biiiison down in Cass.
  2. He pled guilty. Not because he just felt like it. He knew he had to, because he was finally cornered into it. Now, let's see if Mr. Clean makes him man up for his actions in respect to the football program, or if he'll coddle him like FU sees fit with their tier II football "heroes".
  3. Excellent point! I remember the "old days" before Coors Field. LoDo had a few nightclubs and bars, but overall it was a scary warehouse district. Coors Field changed everything. I never supported building the new Mile High or whatever they call it now. 8 home games? Not worth it. But, 80+ home games for baseball...all worth it. Thus, we now have this great area around Coors Field. El Chaputapec if you love jazz. It is about 3 blocks east of Coors Field and has been there forever. Quite a history of jazz music there. It was a stopover bar for great musicians to play between New York, Chicago, KC and the west coast.
  4. I hear you. I worked in Denver for about a year...commuted. Never had a desire to move there and found other employment in Northern Colorado. I know we're off topic here, but if I could spend 1/2 of the year in the mountains...(Not winter...God no!)...it would be in the Granby/Grand Lake area. That is easily my favorite place to go in the summer here in Colorado.
  5. To me, Denver is too big. Living an hour north of Denver, I have to admit it's nice to have access to "city" stuff. The museums, major league sports, shopping, etc... I prefer front range towns like Loveland, Longmont, Fort Collins to Denver. Access to the mountains is better north of Denver IMHO.
  6. If you got kids with you...two words. Casa Bonita. It's hokey, but nearby. Kids love it. Black Bart will be waiting fer ye...arrrrgghh...
  7. Colorado is the microbrew capital of the U S of A. Best beer in America. Imbibe and enjoy!
  8. Personally, I think he should cheer against FU. Gotta cash it in, baby!
  9. Don't you mean "Los Tenedores Grandes"? Anyhoo, I think it's all relative. If you like a small city or large town, Grand Forks is pretty good. A city, the Twin Cities are pretty nice. I live in Fort Collins, Colorado...they made the list too. (They always do on these lists) It's got a lot going for it, but for some people, even at a size well over 250,000 in surrounding area, it's too small. To me, it's almost too big.
  10. Greeley, Colorado gets shut out again!
  11. You ought to head up. I"m sure you'll get a bunch of recommendations for restaurants and places to go after the game. If you do, enjoy the game....Hopefully, not too much!
  12. Very true. UND has been passing the ball very well. I think we're seeing a bit of hope, like the Jackrabbit fan said, but also to be realistic this poll does give good fodder for the UND football team. No respect given at all.
  13. Well, let's hope that the hire of Kotelnicki pays off...and those rabbits overlook the team formerly known as Sioux.
  14. Maybe the Jackrabbits won't take UND seriously when they come to the Alerus.
  15. I think they confused us with the Ag School again... You're right though. Good BB material!
  16. All those old songs are kind of hokey. But, they are good reminders of what colleges and school spirit were like back "in the day".
  17. I wonder if they were harvest colors back then? Green and Gold? EDIT: Yes, this song was written in 1908, back when it was the North Dakota Agricultural College: Yellow and green, not gold and green. http://en.wikipedia....w_and_The_Green
  18. Well, North Dakota has always been a farm state. That's my family's heritage. My great-grandfather homesteaded by the Canadian border. I do appreciate those who defend the land grant heritage at the Ag School. But, am dumbfounded by those who fine it shameful. The oil will be sucked out...eventually. There will still be the agricultural economy in North Dakota.
  19. j Just my way of having fun... After all, it is officially the North Dakota State University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences. In Fort Collins, CSU students totally dig wearing the old Orange and Green (yeah..ugly...but they like it) and the "Colorado Agriculture and Mechanical Aggies" logo. They embrace it. Why doesn't the school in Fargo embrace their heritage? I find they seem embarrassed by their history. Until I see some pride out of that school, I think I'll continue reminding them. (Okay, the home ec thing is over the top...) Also, yes, if a move up would happen, it would be great to see UND/Ag School/USD/SDSU in the same conference again.
  20. I think it was lower than 16,000 also. (Lakes...well..he's in his own little world...) But, I have to admit for an FCS school, the Ag School does travel well. That crowd at Colorado State last year blew them away. (I kept telling my friends it would be impressive...they didn't believe it until they saw it.) They travel better in football than us, no doubt. However, we will catch up. That new indoor training facility is going to be huge for recruitment and ultimately wins. Be nice to see that new stadium built on campus.
  21. Appropriate IMHO. God, those were ugly, silly and stupid. Embarrassing for DU to use any of them.
  22. Eventually we find consensus. Just for the record, I think the Ag School, UND, SDSU and USD are finally in the football division where they belong...however.. I also think that both the Ag School and UND should consider moving up when and if (I think it's more "when") The big five conferences break away and the mid to lower tier FBS schools left change their scholarships and invite the upper of the FCS to move up. They're will probably be a super division of college football similar to the FBS with a playoff, including those five conferences. Then, the second division which would probably be conferences like the MAC/MWC, etc... I could see the Big Sky and MVC moving up to that new division. Some schools would fall by the wayside, but most would move up. The weaker conferences in FCS would probably stay in whatever The FCS turns into. Overall, this new division will hurt schools like CSU/Wyoming/Miami of Ohio. But, they won't have a choice. That's the way it goes in college athletics. In Fargo,a new stadium (I am not sure if they can expand the Fargodome) would need to be built. Same in Grand Forks. (I totally dig that idea of building one over old Memorial Stadium.) This is all opinion, but I hope "when" it happens, both these schools and the South Dakota schools man up this time and move up. God forbid they remain in that third division...that would be as bad as staying D-II for all those years.
  23. Seriously, coming within 15 pts of KSU would be fairly impressive. Their offensive line is incredible. The big ? mark they have on offense is the QB. That Juco transfer could shine, but their back up from last year might get the start. But to seriously believe that a winning record in the Big 10 or Big 12 is truly delusional. Those teams have way too much depth in speed, talent and size. After a few games an FCS team would be decimated at enough positions that they would accumulate loss after loss.
  24. They'll sober up and put down the greasy burgers after the Kansas State game. It still won't help their IQ level...but they need to take baby steps back to reality.. Roll Tide.
  25. They've been giving Kansas State a lot of bulletin board material. As if they even need it. The delusional Kool-Aid drinking fools actually believe they'd have a winning record in the Big 12 and Big 10? They are as stupid as the day is long. Obesity, alcoholism and low IQ levels seems to be their contribution to North Dakota. Did the University of Agriculture and Applied Sciences change their mission statement?
