I am gonna now say SU opens at 17 1/2 point favorites.
I would lay the points if that is the spread. From what I saw today, there is definitely still a talent gap between the 2 schools.

My UND/N_SU prediction:
UND plays like they did against Wyoming UND wins 27-21
UND plays like they did against Drake UND gets thumped 45-3. That Drake game was embarrassing.
If UND plays like they did against Wyo, NDSU by 3 touchdowns. If they play like they did against Drake, NDSU by 6 touchdowns. Wyoming just got killed by a historically awful Eastern Michigan team. That was Eastern's first non conference road win in about 30 years. That is an Eastern Michigan that would finish in the bottom half of the Missouri Valley FC. Wyoming may not win a game this year.

I am sure if you look on BV you will see posts from their wins against Ball St and Kansas among the other lower teams of the FBS, and the chests would be all red from the pounding. Face it Bison fans can't use the zero FBS wins against us. Now I am sure it will move to you have no P5 wins. Since we are the only Dakota team without one of those...get the Jayhawks or Cyclones on the phone.

So you listened to the game? I watch some NDSU games when they play good opponents. I've never listened to one on the radio. Are you going to listen to Eastern Michigan and Wyoming next week. Nope. Have no interest in Wyoming. Hope they go winless this year. I was never a big Bohl fan. Good coach but too arrogant for me. Was glad to see Klieman take over. The better man won on Saturday (Bubba over Bohl). When the Bison aren't playing and I am in the car, I have listened to UND games the last couple of years. I liked Jack Michael's call. I did find it hard to listen to Sweeney though.
I just think that perhaps some should dial it in a little after a win over a historically depleted MWC team. I actually think your close calls over San Diego State and Fresno State in recent years were more impressive than the win over Wyoming.

That Miller pick was before as Mike Berg said "UND shocked the nation" uwith their massive win over Wyoming.Now it sounds like he thinks UND and quite possibly 8 of the 13 BSC teams should be invited to the playoffs. They are definitely the best FCS conference in the country.
Wait until next week when Wyoming beats Eastern Michigan. Everybody will be talking about how great that win over Wyoming was. Even though Eastern Michigan has the same number of FBS wins as NDSU since 2013.

You mean when they beat the defending Big 12 champions who went on to an 8-5 year (8-4 if you take away the NDSU loss) and beat Michigan in a bowl game 31-14? That cupcake?

Not exactly. He just says the Big Sky is already better than the MWC or any other G5 conference for that matter. And UND fans talk about Bison media people being homers. Miller and Sweeney set a pretty high bar.

Well since UND-NDSU isn't a true rivalry like SDSU or UNI, I will make an offer. Stub hub tix for the SDSU game start at $78. Tix for the UNI game start at $100. So I would suspect UND (non rival) tix should be around $60. Would you take $80...yes, I'm willing to pay above the marke rate of your true rival SDSU!

Does anyone know if UND fully funds scholarships in all sports? I heard the soccer coach a bit last night and he didn't seem all that excited about the announcement.

Who would have thunk? Nobody knew the figure of FCOA at UND before NDSU announced theirs, and it just so happens to be exactly the same as NDSU's. That is quite a coincidence.

I don't think he can. With something like 46 freshmen and 13 true freshmen playing this year for Wyoming, If UND doesn't get their first FBS on Saturday they may never get one. It won't get any easier than this one. I would take the points and put my house on it if the Pokes are really favored by 18.

What joke about head shots? DeLuca what going for a low tackle and the Montana QB lowered his head. DeLuca had already committed to the tackle when the QB took a dive.

Besides, every school has to have at least15k seats to go fbs. You've been saying we are not capable of that or the attendance issue.
You aren't. The FBS UND would be a part of will not have the same standards as today's FBS. It will have to lower it's requirements to allow teams like 80 percent of the BSC in. And you will never spend the money on expanding Memorial Stadium for football. The hockey programs will need new locker rooms, or a private exclusive spa, or a private jet, etc. They would spend the money there first.

Some bizon believe they are God's gift to fcs, so they should have the first option to go FBS, even without a conference.
Idaho apparently doesn't have a future in the Sun Belt beyond 2017. 2018 is when I say the Big Sky will begin it's FBS move. The P5 will only have to change some rules, so there is no more antitrust issues.

Your UND and the BSC to the FBS prediction is bu&& s$&t if half of of the FCS goes to what is now the FBS and the other half goes D2. The BSC conference will NOT go FBS any sooner than the MVFC would. Having Idaho in the conference will make ZERO difference. You will take credit for knowing all along and you didn't know anymore than anybody else.

Thought the same thing when it happened. QB goes down to slide and the LB'er put his head down, leading with it. Montana's QB was lucky he slid low enough and to the side and only took a shoulder to his head instead of a helmet.
DeLuca was going for a good old ankle tackle because that is the proper way for a DB or LB to tackle a QB. The Montana QB slides at the same time DeLuca tries to make the ankle tackle. There was nothing he could do.

I didn't defend the fan's actions, in fact I stated fans need to stay off the field and away from opposing players. I also didn't have to add a bunch of things to try to make what the fan did do worse than it actually was. But none of that that precludes Morlock from being in the wrong as well.
What's amusing is they won't even see the irony in it. However it is funny to see baseless assumptions and accusations like that before UND has even played a down this year though.
The fan grabbed his face mask. What was he supposed to do. Leave his hand on it as long as the fan wanted to? You tell me proper etiquette for that scenario. Or as some would ask in this forum, WWBD (what would Bubba do).

Weird that you need to add in things that didn't happen and make it sound a lot worse than it actually was just to defend it. Sure looks to me like he shrugged him off with his right arm (no issues with that) and then followed with a swing with his left (where the problem lies). And you know damn well if it was a UND player that had done the same thing, FargoU fans would be in an faux uproar, contacting media stations across the nation demanding the player to be suspended or kicked off the team. Not even debatable. I'm still hearing/reading crap about the supposed cheap shot (that wasn't) a UND player had on UM's QB last year from bison fans that I know didn't see the game.
Didn't see a "swing" with his left arm. He was trying to dislodge the fans hand from his face mask. If he really wanted to hurt the fan he would have had no problem catching him and knocking him out.
Univ of Montana has issued a statement apologizing to NDSU and their players for their fan's behavior. Said it was inexcusable.

So they are supposed to let them grab their face mask and pull them around the field, maybe twist it a little, poke them in the eye, etc.? By the way, he didn't swing at a fan. It looked like he brought his arm up to try to get the fans hand off his mask. As was mentioned earlier, if Morlock had swung at the fan with bad intentions, the fan would have been out and eating through a straw today if he was lucky. Mr. Morlock is a solid 230 and has spent a lot of time in the weight room.

I don't know anything about the UND hit on the Montana QB last year. But the UND fans claiming the DeLuca hit on the Montana QB this year was dirty, what did you think about the UND D-backs hit on the Drake QB who was sliding in the second half on Saturday? They were identical plays. Was that hit clean?
