I think the Big Sky has proven the last two years that when you dip down to the 4th and 5th teams in the conference for playoff spots they are not deserving, whether they are 7-4 or 8-3. They have been blown out at home by non-scholarship teams. Maybe it is time to try some 6-5 MVFC teams. NCAA basketball will take an 18 win ACC team over a 26 win Summit team. What is the difference?
-
Do you really want to get in? It is much easier to complain about being snubbed and talk about the run to Frisco you would have had if you had gotten in than to get in, host one of those 6-5 MVFC team and get killed by them.
-
For NDSU's sake, I hope UND gets in over a MVFC team. I would much rather play UND for NDSU's first playoff game over any MVFC team that may make the playoffs. That UND offense will not reach triple digits in yardage against NDSU.
-
Montana gave UND a 28 point lead by dropping the ball constantly for no reason. UND hasn't dominated any opponent this year, including Mississippi Valley State,
-
We will see if they can get the "huge win" next week at UNA like the UND360 guys said on the radio today. Because as they said, nobody beats UNA in Flagstaff. That would be big for the UND resume, beating that UNA team that lost 40-8 to Missouri State this year.
-
And how many of those "good" Big Sky teams has UND beaten? Or even played for that matter.
-
Playoffs!!! Playoffs!!! The UND team I watched today has no business in the playoffs, I know everybody on here thinks it is outrageous that a 6-5 MVFC team gets in the playoffs, but any 6-5 MVFC team this year is better than and deserves to be in the playoffs more than a 7-4 UND team.
-
I agree with this that what staff UND has doesn't have any bearing on NDSU's national title run. However, stubborn and predicable play calling isn't exclusive to UND. NDSU;s OC and Klieman insisted on running the ball all day even though YSU was selling out on the run. They could have scored 40 points if they had let Stick air it out today. NDSU is lucky at times they have superior players. I really believe this was UND's opportunity to make a run. They had a very favorable non conference schedule and a very weak BSC schedule. I know many on this site like to poo poo the MVFC, but UND will find out how tough it really is week in and week out very soon. There are no Sac States and UNS's in the MVFC.

Bison fans are smart enough to know if you are a #1 or a #2 seed you don’t have to worry about bids.
-
You can say what you want, but UND hasn't had a D1 team yet that would finish above 500 in the MVFC.
-
When SHSU barely beat a SWAC team at home the previous week and that SWAC team had a rusher go well over 200 yards, it should have told you they weren't very good,
-
You are welcome. On a positive note, your QB looks like he is pretty good, Your offensive skill positions are very good. I am not sure if you Offensive line will protect the QB and open enough holes against a good D-line.
-
Maybe your team will prove me wrong. Maybe they will beat UW and then beat SHSU. I would hope they would beat SHSU. You know the team that shouldn't have even been in the playoffs and UND would have beaten last year even with the injuries. That one should be a cakewalk. The SHSU head coach thanked Klieman last year for not trying to score in the second half.
-
This is exactly right. How many of Harris's picks have been because a QB throws down field and Harris has his guy blanketed? He will occasionally get lucky and jumps a route and gets a pick six. Marcus WIlliams and CJ Smith were both much better cover guys than Harris and neither were drafted, Harris has a couple of inches on both. Other than that, he has a lot of improving to do to make an NFL roster.
-
What would you like to bet? I mean what would you like to lose? UND can't score enough to beat either of those teams with your defense. I don't see either UW or SHSU being held under 50.
-
UND will most likely be going into that game on a two game losing streak. Do you really think the attendance will be that much better than this week? BTW, does anybody know what it cost to get Mississippi Valley to come to GF? With the number of tickets sold it had to be a major loser for the athletic department.

Seems fair. Does anyone know if Lynn was a PWO or scholarship offer from Nebraska?
-
I don't know. I just know that it went far enough that NDSU listed him as a PWO commit on signing day. I am not sure when he told NDSU he was taking a scholarship at UND, but I would have thought maybe they wouldn't have listed him if he hadn't at one point committed in writing, but I could be wrong.
-
I see no problem with it, just surprised the NCAA would allow it.
-
Does the NCAA allow that in hockey? Advisors that will become paid agents? I thought that kind of thing has gotten some P5 football players in trouble, Not implying UND or other schools are doing anything wrong. It just doesn't seem that the NCAA would allow an future financial agreement like that.
-
I agree as an NDSU grad. It is a chunk of UND fans that like to bash NDSU's quality of education being far inferior to UND's when they can't believe a kid would pick NDSU over UND. The difference in education quality is negligible or non-existent.
-
I would rather nobody flip either. We agree. So to be clear, you think Steckler should be a Bison?

Damn, sometimes facts get in the way. Schools with the Highest 2013 First-Time CPA Exam Pass Rate with an Advanced Degree North Dakota State University 75.0% One school in North Dakota had first-time candidates for the CPA exam who also had an advanced degree. The national pass rate for all first-time candidates was 54.6% (for candidates with a bachelor’s or advanced degree). You may consider the first-time CPA exam pass rate as a helpful metric for comparing the quality of accounting programs in your area. For a full breakdown of CPA exam statistics, see the 2013 NASBA Uniform CPA Examination Candidate Performance report provided by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. Top Master’s in Accounting Programs in North Dakota North Dakota State University (Fargo, ND) North Dakota State University offers a Master of Accountancy program best suited to students with undergraduate degrees in accounting, although students who majored in other subjects may be able to enter the program and supplement their education with further undergraduate study within the master’s program. The non-thesis program is meant to provide students with the skills and knowledge base needed to advance their careers in public, corporate, or government accounting and achieve certification by passing the Uniform CPA exam. An emphasis on interactivity between peers, faculty, and accounting leaders provides learning and networking opportunities. Electives in the 30 credit hour program include Fraud Examination, Management Control Systems, Financial Statement Analysis, and International Management. Graduate assistantships are available on a limited basis to qualified students. The accounting program at North Dakota State is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. US News ranks North Dakota State University #190 in National Universities.

Whatever. I work at a company that hires a lot of college graduates. An applicant with a degree from NDSU gets the SAME consideration as an applicant with a degree from UND. The better interviewer will get the job. That is the reality you don’t want to admit to.

Then I guess Bubba is following the PJ recruiting philosophy. You just had a recent recruit say he wanted to accept the UND offer right away while it was still valid. I wonder if Bubba suggested it may not be there if he waited too long. No, not Bubba. He wouldn’t stoop that low.
