They should be. NDSU being his first offer is the only chance they have of landing him. He is going to blow up this year. Maybe he is a huge Bison or Hawks fan, idk. I think he will get looks and offers from a minimum MVC or MW type school, or maybe a Creighton or Wichita State.
-
Maybe you do, but after going to the NDSU game last night, I will stick to ZERO for Richman's crew,
-
Agree. Those teams would be pretty evenly matched.
-
Next week will be full. If NDSU fans don't show up, SDSU will fill the dome. Not how I would like it filled, but it will be filled.
-
Maybe we could make them co-head coaches at one school. One can recruit talent but has no clue how to coach and one who can coach some but has no eye for talent.
-
Sorry to break it to you, but UND and NDSU have ZERO chance of beating SDSU this year. One of the two will probably not even make the Summit Tourny, just not sure which one.
-
Boise State and Fresno State are both Top 25 team this year. I have seen both play several times this year. They are not better than NDSU,
-
The Perry DUI was in the news and he was suspended for it. Did you you want it on the front page for a week?
-
If it is public record then share what all athletes and coaches have done in the past 5 years. That would approx be when the 2 head coaches took over.
-
Klieman dismisses 3 kids toward the end of the season last year also for breaking team rules. It was reported that it was not a legal issue but they were dismissed anyway. Klieman helped them find other schools and it was reported one of the kids fathers agreed with the dismissal. We don’t know if it was their first offense or second or third, and we don’t need to know. If there were any arrests in that case or if there is one in the Cain case we would know.
-
He was suspended for a game earlier this year. Are you saying there is a public record of why? What was it? And they said he left and it was a mutual agreement. What more do you want? My guess is if there was a legal problem we would have heard about it. Maybe jdub27 has the inside scoop with the FPD.
-
Didn't he play HS in Iowa this year? I thought his classmate, also a CB, already committed to NDSU.
-
Will UND's new OC bring in a whole new OL? Because if they don't, even with all that NDSU loses this year, the NDSU front seven has plenty of talent coming back that they will be in the backfield harassing Kett (or whoever is their QB) and JJ will be dodging people 5 yards in the backfield all day. But I would agree, NDSU will have a freshman QB and may have a hard time scoring points, at least early in the season, but I am not sure UND will be able to score enough to win the game.
-
Why were people thinking Kett was going to be an all-conference type QB. He transferred from a Big Sky school that is not exactly a powerhouse because he couldn't win the starting job. And it wasn't like he was behind a Gubrud.
-
UND's FB salaries will possibly be the lowest in the MVFC, probably in the range of half of what the top schools are paying. They aren't going to attract quality coaches paying what they do.
-
What would be the incentive for either of them to take the UND job? I am not sure Bubba makes more than either of them and the salary pool for assistants wouldn't be enough to attract the coaches they would want. Unless of course the REA loosens the pursestrings and allows Chaves to spent the money to attract better coaches. Entz would be in line to take over for Klieman when he inevitably moves on soon.
-
While anytime you play a football game there is a chance, if these two teams play 100 times NDSU wins 98 of them. There is not a single position group the UND has an advantage over NDSU.
-
I saw one of the teams on top of the CAA in person this year, Delaware. They would not win more than 4 games on the MVFC, maybe not even 4.
-
Two years from now the same people on this board will be begging for a 6-5 MVFC UND team to get in the playoffs.
-
I think the Big Sky has proven the last two years that when you dip down to the 4th and 5th teams in the conference for playoff spots they are not deserving, whether they are 7-4 or 8-3. They have been blown out at home by non-scholarship teams. Maybe it is time to try some 6-5 MVFC teams. NCAA basketball will take an 18 win ACC team over a 26 win Summit team. What is the difference?
-
Do you really want to get in? It is much easier to complain about being snubbed and talk about the run to Frisco you would have had if you had gotten in than to get in, host one of those 6-5 MVFC team and get killed by them.
-
For NDSU's sake, I hope UND gets in over a MVFC team. I would much rather play UND for NDSU's first playoff game over any MVFC team that may make the playoffs. That UND offense will not reach triple digits in yardage against NDSU.
-
Montana gave UND a 28 point lead by dropping the ball constantly for no reason. UND hasn't dominated any opponent this year, including Mississippi Valley State,
-
We will see if they can get the "huge win" next week at UNA like the UND360 guys said on the radio today. Because as they said, nobody beats UNA in Flagstaff. That would be big for the UND resume, beating that UNA team that lost 40-8 to Missouri State this year.
-
And how many of those "good" Big Sky teams has UND beaten? Or even played for that matter.
