BTW, the last PWO QB to come to NDSU that contributed was VERY good, however he ended up contributing as a safety (Hendricks).

Stick didn’t suck when he backed up Wentz. Lance backing up Stick is silmilar to Stick backing up Wentz and this was his true freshman year. Lance will be good and the ISU QB is an insurance policy. The backups after that may not be great though, ehich is why you don’t say no to s transfer if he wants to come to NDSU. Noland said he told his coach at ISU is he was going to transfer to an FCS school he wanted to go to the best FCS school. So the coach called Klieman, who he had known already. The notion that NDSU was looking fir a transfer QB is false. They do however still want to bring in a HS QB in this class.

Other than the last two QB's at NDSU will have been drafted an the last 3 will have been in NFL camps, and the last combined at UND and U of Minn have not played a snap after college...

Frustration? You have Bubba now. He is the savior that is going to stop the Bison run at 2, wait 3, uh 4,5 nr 7 titles in 8 years, It starts in Sept 19th 2015, no wait Sept 7th 2019,,,

A win in Fargo next year for UND could happen, very doubtful but could happen, however, it would NOT put UND in any drivers seat for a top 2 playoff seed. NDSU has only had one and possibly two undefeated years in their run. Meaning somebody beat them most years. It didn’t mean a huge playoff run or program changing year for USD, Indiana State, UNI or Montana. UND will not be a playoff seed next year win or lose Sept. 7th. I like how people think that because UND caught NDSU in the 90’s that it will happen soon again. The 90’s to now is like apples to oranges. Neither team had a national profile back then. They weren’t on national TV at all. They weren’t playing or beating Power 5 teams. They were playing D2 football that nobody outside this region cared about. Most kids on the Twin Coties didnt even care. Who won the last 2 D2 championships? Nobody knows because nobody cares. Like it or not, quite a few HS kids know about NDSU football all over the country. Not many know about UND fb. NDSU keeps getting some of the top athletes that play FCS fb every year. They just signed their best recruiting class ever this year in a year with coaching staff changes. 5 of their top 10 ranked kids they have ever signed are coming in next year, including the large school offensive and defensive players of the year from Wisconsin. The hill keeps getting steeper and steeper that UND needs to climb. NSDU will not go undefeated next year and could possibly lose to UND, but it will not change the balance of power in fb in the state.

Bingo !!! No Power 5 conference will ever invite a Dakota school unless it is the Big 12 in wresting or the Big 10 in hockey. Or possibly in a non-revenue sport nobody really cares about. IF any Dakota school, NDSU included, went to the FBS it would be to a G5 conference.

I am not sure. The announcer commented on one of the girls playing well and Brewster said something to the effect that she is their little pork chop. It just seemed odd to come out of a coaches mouth on air. I am not saying it was negative toward the girl, just odd.
-
I have always liked Coach Brewster and think he would be a good guy to have a brew with. Pleasant change after Roebuck. But I was driving home from work on Friday and my radio was on the The Fan in Fargo. I heard his interview after the game and I am almost positive I heard him call one of his players a pork chop. I don't have a problem with that but in today's politically correct world it seemed like something that might get a coach in trouble.

I would say the ONLY thing UND has to worry about Sept 7th is overconfidence. I don’t see where NDSU has a chance as gutted as their roster will be and all of the talent coming back for UND. Sprinkle in the UND signees today that all the local FCS schools came after hard the last week and I can see NDSU just buying out the game to avoid the embarrassment.
-
Trey Lance will start. The ISU transfer will be an insurance policy. I am not sure the fan base of a school starting a Sac State cast off should be bashing the QB situation of other schools. Kett is not very good but is apparently the best QB ind the UND QB room. Gotta love a kid that is supposed to be the team leader that trash talks when they are getting a beat down.
-
It appears Entz lost the same as Bubba even though Entz had 5 days on the job compared to 5 years for Bubba.
-
How about being excited about getting the kid from Virginia that had many other options rather than dwelling on a kid that evidently doesn't want to come to UND. UND beating out other FCS schools including NDSU and SDSU does not happen very often. Be glad you are getting him and let the Case kid go. Like most on here are saying, when a kid de-commits, they rarely come back. Better he decided now than in the fall.

EWU will have to score in the 60's to win because NDSU will if they have to. Not saying NDSU will score 60 because they most likely won't have to, but they will if they have to. EWU's defense is not going to be able to stop NDSU.

If he stays you may be right.

The demise of the NDSU FB program was predicted when Bohl left. It didn’t happen. It sounds like K-State may want to keep their defensive staff in place. They were the third ranked D in the Big 12. If Larsen is smart, he elevate Entz to HC, Roehl to OC, and keeps most of the rest of the defensive staff. I think if that happens they won’t miss a beat. It could actually help in recruiting knowing the staff is in place for a few years rather than the uncertainty of Klieman leaving next year if it wasn’t this year for K-State. I am sure recruits have been hearing from other coaches that Klieman may not be around for long.
-
Yeah. If I were Entz and was taking over, I would tell Klieman to stay in Kansas Wednesday. I am sure Klieman will try to get a couple of the committed kids to come to KSU. Particularly the LB from Illinois that turned down a K-State offer and the 5A defensive player of the year from Kansas. A very large D-tackle that looks like he is ready to play today.
-
Well, they may offer several kids that have Power 5 offers every year, which they do, and get one or two each year. Maybe not on a daily basis though,
-
I agree. I wold say thanks for the service but you need to leave now. Not in anger or anything, but they don't need someone with half (or more) of his focus 700 mikes away. And honestly his future relies more on him recruiting kids to KSU more than winning a football game on Friday Night.
-
It was reported as $10m over 5 years.
-
I don't know but that seems high. Maybe half that?
-
I don't think so, Unless they transfer down to D2 or lower they need to sit out a year. I don't believe recruits that have actually signed a letter of intent can get out unless the school releases them. Most schools would, but they don't have to.
-
I see the UND360 guys are already predicting a UND manhandling of K-State in 2020.
-
Sorry to say that a good FB program losing a quality coach doesn't make all of the other FCS programs with crappy program and coaching staffs any more attractive. Maybe for a recruit or two for a year or two, but not for the long haul.
-
I hear the strength coach is a single dad with kids still in school. He doesn't want to uproot them. My guess is Entz gets the job, elevated Roehl to OC and keeps half of the staff to keep current players and some commits happy. What was looking like a good early signing day looks like it won't be anymore. They will obviously lose some commits.

Sadly, they are plating a team that was beaten by USD a week ago. And USD is probably not the best team in the Summit, Not trolling, NDSU is no better, probably worse, but just saying the ND schools have an enormous hill to climb to be competitive in the Summit.
