I'm not annoyed by the "Thank You" as much as I am the "You're Welcome". It's funny every now and then, but when it's every game, or when you know when he is or isn't going to respond, the novelty is gone.

Gwoz used to do this all the time to give his players extra rest. Maybe they'd end up on the ice in the end anyway, but they'd get a ton of extra rest. In my opinion, the rule should be that if you don't have the right players on the ice because of an attempted change (when everybody knows full well when changes are and aren't allowed), the team should be charged an immediate delay of game minor.

Anybody else trying to watch this on iOS? When I try to tonight's stream on my iPad it's just giving me the last couple minutes of last night's broadcast. Anbyody else?

Have you tried watching it through a mobile device, just to test it, at least? I've been watching through my iPad (and through AirPlay onto my tv with AppleTV) all season and I haven't had any issues at all. I can't imagine the backend would be any different (same servers, internet connection and video stream) on one platform versus another.

Justin Kovac's goal where he walks through the UMD defense has got to be up there. I'm more impressed by that one than by Caggiula's. Unfortunately, that one is up against Grimaldi's second (in the black jersey, against WMU), and Grimaldi's will likely win and knock out a really good Kovac goal.

Speaking of backs, is Sparks officially gone? I heard something about him heading toward California, but nothing official on what was happening with him.

I think a newbie PxP guy was part of it, though he did better than I expected (plus I graduated high school with him, so I don't want to bag on him too much). But I think the biggest problem for watching on TV was that they had the crowd mics turned way down. Even the band was quiet than usual. Maybe it wasn't great in person, either, but it was even worse on TV.

Why I have been hearing that the win tonight clinches a share of the cup? If UND loses tomorrow and SCSU wins, doesn't SCSU win the cup outright and get the 1st seed?

It hit the left pipe, then bounced over and off the white-padded pipe, not the cross bar. The white pipe only exists behind the crossbar, so it has to be across the goal line. Remember, the overhead view isn't directly overhead, it's slightly from behind.

Maybe it is on your end. I usually have a really nice HD picture. Just not tonight.

I was noticing the webcast seemed a bit lower quality tonight, too.

When did they change it to seeding the top 5? I thought it was top 4, then the matchups were random draw. Also, is the tournament a week earlier than normal? I thought it always lined up being the week before the first round the WCHA conference tournament.

There'd still be pressure on both teams on Saturday, though. If SCSU loses Friday and the Sioux win, but then Saturday is the opposite, we still tie for league champion (but yes, we get the #1 seed in the tournament). I want the trophy outright.

Yea, their webcast was pretty bad. Once I finally got it to load (after missing the first couple minutes), it worked alright for a while, but then was constantly freezing and buffering. Then at one point totally quit and didn't come back for a long time. Easy to understand with a free webcast, but definitely not something I paid $8 for.

What? Couldn't afford the $8 webcast?
