  1. Did I just hear that right? They think the UND/SCSU rivalry is one of the biggest in all of college hockey?
  2. I've had no good correspondence with NCHCtv. First, they didn't extend my subscription, but they didn't cancel it, either. Had I not said anything, I probably would have continued to be able to watch for free. I renewed it and worked just fine. My problem is simply that my first email was lost by them (they admitted it), and they got back to me 10 days later. When I responded to them again and it took four days to hear back. They're customer service is quite awful, actually. Something as large as they are should have true contact form on the website and a phone number. Having "just" an email address is really bush league for a service that is as big as they are. Plus, since so much of their content is going on during the evenings and weekends, they should have people answering emails and handling things during the events.
  3. It's not on DirecTV. You have to watch through BTN2GO. When you click to watch the game it'll ask you to enter your DirecTV login credentials. You can only watch it on BTN2GO if you get BTN with your DirecTV package.
  4. Audio is cutting out a ton. Video is jittery but much less often, so at least during the game play it's not so bad.
  5. Not just turn off the TV, but just quit playing the game. Both teams should be glad that the game is decided now and that they don't have to risk more injuries in the next 50 minutes of play.
  6. I swear, they should just paint the ice blue all the way to the face off dots.
  7. I had some issues right away, but now my only issue is that it seems to be really poor quality. I've got it on my iPad, Airplayed up to my TV. Looks worse than SD quality, but at least no buffering issues.
  8. I never did hear back, but the stream worked for me. Regarding wireless vs. wired, that's been mixed for me. I was able to stream perfectly fine on iPad (obviously wireless), and Airplay it to my Apple TV, which is hardwired. But then with my laptop it wouldn't stream very well on wireless so I had to plug it in, but at that point the laptop was sitting next to my TV so it was ok to be plugged in. Quality wise, I would say it's about 80-90% of the way from SD to HD. Not perfect HD quality, but definitely way better than standard definition. Very watchable, and much better than a couple years ago.
  9. Big hits are no longer allowed in college hockey.
  10. It's strange to see a Hockey East team play so physical. Didn't know they were capable of it.
  11. Are you guys watching on Midco or on the NCHC tv? I wasn't even back from the commercial and you were calling 4-on-4
  12. Well, my NCHC.tv subscription expired on the 19th, so I needed to renew before this game. I tried renewing, but it still says my account expires on Oct 19th, 2014. I have a $1 pending charge on my credit card from NeuLion, so I know they at least tried to do something. I emailed them this morning at 8:30 but still haven't heard anything back. I guess we'll see, at game time, if they actually renewed my account and let me watch the game.
  13. Did the feed freeze for anybody else with 3 seconds left?
  14. I agree. But that's the problem, without standardized equipment NeuLion can't be held responsible for everything. If this recent issue was due to the uplink from CC getting lost or messed up, then NeuLion wouldn't have anything to stream to us. Probably is your end. I've been having HD quality webcast the whole time.
  15. Sounds like you're watching last night's game.
  16. Except for some issues during the exhibition game, I haven't had any issues, until now, with any of the UND broadcasts.
  17. Let's just be glad it was near the end of the period and they have the period break to get it working again. Hopefully they can get it back up within 15 minutes.
  18. Locked up for me, too.
  19. What was that about splitting up Parks and MacMillan?
  20. I'm not having any issues with the quality, perfectly clear the whole time. Just need to close the iris a bit, or the white-balance, as sprig mentioned.
  21. You'd have to disable Flash. Go to chrome:plugins and click the link to disable it. I just tried it and tried watching one of the On Demand Features, and it played the add just fine (not using flash) but when the actual segment started it said it wasn't supported on my device ("my device" being the latest version of Chrome on a Windows laptop). It worked fine on my iPad, though. Who knows what will happen during an actual real-time game stream.
  22. Flash must just be used for older browsers that don't support HTML5. I was able to watch the stream on my iPad, which doesn't support Flash. In fact, nothing should be using Flash at all anymore. That ship sailed a few years ago.
  23. I certainly wasn't complaining about the performance of the exhibition. I was just pointing out how much better it was and that they must have learned from that weekend. I hate to say it, but "as many people as possible" is simply how the internet works. With so many different platforms, browsers and other factors, it's nearly impossible to ensure that every user of anything on the internet will have the same experience. The best of developers will work as hard as possible to test all combinations of variables, but it's very difficult to do. The best they can do, in a case like this, is give a sample to view, and if the sample works you should be able to reliably say that the rest of the system will work. That's why you'll often see a video sample to see if it works before an event starts. Also, good customer service would, within a certain timeframe, offer a refund.
  24. Here's my experience: My UND Insider subscription from last year expires on 10/19 or 10/20. It automatically transferred over to NCHC.tv without a problem, all automatically. So, I was able to watch the exhibition and Friday's Bemidji game with last year's subscription (and next week's CC games, I assume). The exhibition game had some rebuffering issues. Quite a few actually. But the Bemidji game was flawless. Not a single instance where the feed dropped out. I was able to start it up on my iPad and Airplay it to my TV through the Apple TV, and it worked perfectly for the whole game. Hopefully that's the trend for the season.
  25. It's also on DirecTV channel 22 in the Twin Cities.
