Yea, their webcast was pretty bad. Once I finally got it to load (after missing the first couple minutes), it worked alright for a while, but then was constantly freezing and buffering. Then at one point totally quit and didn't come back for a long time. Easy to understand with a free webcast, but definitely not something I paid $8 for.

What? Couldn't afford the $8 webcast?

This interview is painful. Over three minutes into the period now, time to cut him off and start calling the game again.

Anybody else having horrible buffering and video freezing issues? I don't have issues with any other webcasts, including UND's Neulion service, but this is horrible.

It wouldn't have to be amateurs, just anybody who isn't in the NHL. The amateur rule was an IOC rule. As soon as they started allowing professionals, things changed. This wouldn't be a change back to "no professionals", just that the NHL wouldn't allow their players to go. I would hope the NHLPA would fight against the change. The players love being there. Hopefully they love it enough to really fight for it.
