  1. Yea, conversation do go in tangents. But on a message forum, where you're in a thread that has a particular topic, it usually makes sense to bring the conversation back to that topic. When we're all here waiting for news on Schmaltz, or other people leaving, and I see the "Early Departures" thread pop up to the top, I don't think I'm out of line thinking that maybe there's some news on, I don't know, Early Departures. Instead I have to scroll through a conversation that there's already another thread for. Yes, I can scroll through it, but how do I know if I should scroll past it if I don't read it first? There's a reason we have different threads on a message board. And it sure doesn't help when the moderators are contributing to it.
  2. SIOUXELEVENS posted at the same time as you but I don't think he was referring to you. I think he was referring to stoney posting about his blog constantly in two different threads that don't have anything to do with what he's blogging about.
  3. Why am I seeing all sorts of soccer tweets on the social media page? Is it just me?
  4. Well, if you keep adding bowl games, then everybody gets to hang a participation banner. Nebraska, Minnesota and San Jose St. all played in bowl games last year while finishing 5-7. Some of those seven losses must have been some pretty high quality losses.
  5. Not only that, but didn't we play a handful of games with only 17 skaters dressed because of injuries?
  6. I think once there's a logo it'll be harder to avoid the new name. Right now it seems forced to say "Fighting Hawks" but when the jerseys all have a new logo, it's on the ice, it's around the arena, the transition will start happening.
  7. You mean a first rounder who back checks as hard as somebody who is playing for their job every night? Or a first rounder who lays out on the blue line to just barely hold the zone to keep the offensive pressure alive? (I can't remember what game this happened but I was blown away when I saw Boeser do this.) Those are the kinds of guys you want playing for you team. And those are the guys I'm so happy to watch play every week.
  8. That was Wolanin, and he wasn't even hitting the correct shoulder. But remember that led to a 4-on-4 with Anas also in the box, so clearly he did something to precipitate it.
  9. Much better looking stuff there than on SiouxShop.com. Thanks for the link.
  10. He probably lost his dealers phone number, so he's a bit on edge right now.
  11. Having the top line in college hockey didn't hurt, either.
  12. This season and this team has really spoiled us. We were able to witness some truly magnificent games played by some truly magnificent players. The chemistry within each line, and within the whole team isn't something that comes around very often. And to cap off the season with great national tournament performances has made this season incredibly memorable. First taking out "the hottest team in the nation" in Northeastern, then taking down two big rivals in Michigan and Denver. Then utterly outplaying, from start to finish, the #1 ranked team in the tournament has proved that this team truly deserves this title. I wish there was more I could do to thank Coach Berry and the team for the entertainment, and pure joy, they've given me for the past six and half months. I guess all I can do is say Congratulations and Thank You!
  13. Probably not. That was a solid "quality loss" for QU.
  14. I kept wondering if somebody was going to drop a "Fighting Sioux" during one of the post-game interviews.
  15. It better be. I don't wanna go to work tomorrow.
  16. The saddest thing is that we never won a banner with the beautiful logo.
  17. And the new Ralph has it's first banner!
  18. Play your game! Keep playing Sioux hockey! Don't let up!
  19. I'm not so sure, we've seem some pretty "amazing" Gopher, Badger and SCSU Husky teams.
  20. QU's really playing cheap now. Melrose said their goalie thought Stetcher took his helmet off on purpose. There's no reason at all he would do that on purpose.
  21. That is a textbook 5 minute CFB. Just because his head wasn't down doesn't mean it shouldn't be 5.
  22. Should have been an easy call, but apparently it took the ref quite a while to call that. I saw one of our guys (didn't see the number) raise his arm and call that penalty well before the ref did.
