  1. Alpine Valley is a crappy place to see a show.  I'd be more jealous is you replaced Alpine with Red Rocks.  Although just getting into a DMB show is something to be jealous of.

I can't see Dave Matthews hitting up GF any time soon.

You realize Alpine Valley is considered one of the top amphitheatres in the nation?

    Or don't you?

Although, you're right, Red Rocks is up there, as well, but it only holds 9,000 compared to about 25,000-30,000 at Alpine.

  2. Love the Milk Carton design! that would make a cool t-shirt, have the FF teams on front and the missing on the back. too bad it would probably be a nightmare to get marketing rights and what not from the teams/league ;)

Just get the iron-on printer paper and do it yourself. If you're not making money from it, it's not likely anybody will care.

  3. Say Big.. mind if I make of poster of your sign? ;)

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Let me redo it and spend more than 5 minutes on it.

Unless of you were planning on redoing it anyway. But if you were planning on just printing what I had already done, I'll redo it and make it better.

I'll probably add all the other conference logos, as well.

  4. ". . . .  Guests are reminded that the following items are always prohibited:  food, alcoholic beverages, bottles, cans or containers, irritants (e.g. artificial noisemakers, Gopher jerseys), videocameras, monopods/tripods, and strobe lights.  Promotional items (e.g. shakers, cups, flags, etc. with commercial slogans or identification are also prohibited.  The Schottenstein Center does not offer item checks so prohibited items will have to be returned to the guest's vehicle.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    Nice work.

And yes, the rulebook also says artificial noisemakers are not permitted.

We should tell all those annoying fans who bring cowbells.

  5. "....we are deeply concerned about the action of checking from behind and have made it a priority in all of our officiating clinics and coaches meetings.

I hate to beat a dead horse, but I just thought I'd point out the text from the official NCAA Ice Hockey Rule Book.

    Rule 6, Section 23, Part b:

"Hitting from behind into the side boards, end boards or goal cage is a flagrant violation."

PENTALTY -- Major and game misconduct or disqualification.

Just something to point out, because the way I read this, there should have been no question on what call to make in that situation.

I guess the ref's don't really know the rulebook the way they should.

  6. good idea but it has been on other broadcasts on differnet channels..they have not shown the sioux on espn since they changed the logo in 2001 so they need to get on top of that by the f-4

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Not for hockey, but they have for football and they've continued to use the old logo.

  7. I have the goal and sent it to BigGreyAnt to host not sure if he is planningn on it though

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Yes, I was sent the video, but didn't know what it was from or when it was from. And I didn't want to start a new thread to say "here's a neat goal but I don't know what it's about."

Anyway, it seems it's already up on a website so I won't need to host it.

But if somebody wants to send me Spirko's goal, I would love to see it, and I could host that one for people to see.

  8. >>>>>

If you pay close attention, you'll notice that he is high-fiving a guy on his way off the ice. He is probably in need of maturity more than psychological help.

Either way, the kids a nut job.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

He's acknowledging the kids/fans, that's all. Nothing wrong with that. I don't think the kids had any idea what really happened or could even being to ponder why it just happened.

  9. My question is this....

Why do you need a 11,000+ seat facility to accomodate the 7-10 people watching the women's basketball games?

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

First of all, it's the men's basketball tournament.

And second, it's going to be broadcast nationally in HD. The betty isn't fitted for cameras.
