For those of you who have not yet realized it. Our defense has not allowed any points AT HOME for more than 9 quarters. 139:24 to be exact.
Think we can keep the streak going against UMD?
-
Belmore - very impressive with his pocket sense and scrambling ability. If he can continue play like that, we'll go far this year.
This is true, but he still has to work on his deep throwing. He overthrew at least 3 balls that would have been touchdowns. And not just a few feet over. They were a good 5 yards long. Not raggin' on him, just pointing it out.
-
For those of you who didn't hear, they said a bit ago that Maine hasn't been swept at home by a non-conference opponent in 19 years. In 1985, by Denver, was the last one.
-
Anybody know what's up with gametimes being 7:07 and 7:37? What's the 2 minutes for?
-
You sure talk up your team quite a bit considering their not even in the top 25 poll.
-
There were two WCHA teams in the Frozen Four, and two Hockey East teams, if I remember right. It was UMD vs. Denver in one semi-final game, and Maine vs. Boston College in the other.
But you are correct, it would have been possible to seperate all the WCHA teams to have 4 of them end up in the Frozen Four. We had North Dakota, Minnesota, Minnesota-Duluth, Denver and Wisconsin all in the 16-team field.
-
Alright, I gotta ask, did you make up "IALMAO??"
-
This is just one of the reasons we need that place roaring on Saturday:
Andrew Terry rushed for a Division II record 410 yards and a touchdown on 38 carries to lead Ferris State to a 35-7 win over Findlay on Saturday night. We need to make sure nobody can hear...well....anything.
-
Get everybody you know to go to the games. Especially Friday. This is the first WCHA for our women's team and they're trying to get this game to break the attendance record for women's hockey (I think it's 6,000-some).
I know our students will show up, we just need to let everybody know how much fun the game will be.

Colby Genoway...on the power play.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
That won't happen. I don't think the Sioux are allowed to score a powerplay goal until well into the season.
-
Great,
So the #1,2,3,7, and 8 teams in the country are all in the same region.
Am I completely confused, or does the title on the poll say "Northwest?" Wouldn't that mean all the teams on the poll are in the same region?
-
If NDSU heads "up" I-94, the only place they would stop is at Montana or Montana State. Buy an atlas.
Are you still stuck on this?
-
Yes, Ms. VP "you just student" and me tarzan.
You don't think she actually said that, do you? I hope you realize that was very likely just a misprint by the paper.

I am up for getting more tailgating going..... we usually hit up the early session at the Down Under at about 3 or 4 oclock.
I hope you realize that that isn't tailgating. Tailgating implies sitting the parking lot eating and drinking. Not going to a bar just to drink cheaper than you can at The Ralph.
-
-
This might be the first first move the Ralph has made that will actually make them less profit. Or maybe that's what the mixed-drink stands are meant to offset.
I understand being angry that they are getting rid of SRO tickets, but this will make the game just that much more comfortable for those who are there, correct?
-
The regular season only goes into the early part of November. If you're good enough to host a couple of playoff games you might have a home game as late as the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
The game that's the saturday after thanksgiving is the 3rd playoff game. The fourth game is a week after that, still. Generally the first weekend of December. Last year it got mighty cold. I know I wouldn't have wanted to be sitting outside to watch a game in that weather.
But I do agree, this past weekend would have been fun outside.

The fund drive is definitely continuing. I know that they are still looking for $75-100,000 to complete the weightroom. Plus, there are other needs.
Another weight room? The massive one in the ralph isn't big enough?

http://www.UND.edu/dept/undmusic/ensembles...e/schedule.html
Go there and scroll to the bottom. You can see the entire mens and womens basketball schedules.
-
Some of you will be very happy to know that the basketball schedules have been changed. It appears that every single home basketball game up until the Jan 14th conference opener will be played at the Betty.
So it looks like that building will get plenty of game time this season.
And who knows, maybe the teams will like it enough to demand all the conference games get played in there, too.

It is all still ads on my Midco cable, with music playing in the background.
Channel 23, right?
Yea, mine has ads going with music in the background, too.
Given, most of it is UND/Sioux advertising, so I'm not sure how much money they're making from it, but it's good free advertising, and the NCAA or ESPN probably own rights to most of the legendary games people would like to see.
-
I think it would be a good idea, but the money hungry owners probably wouldn't take off their precious income-producing advertisments to put on something entertaining.
-
I haven't sat down and compared dates yet, but if you want all the home dates for hockey and basketball, and football for that matter, all in one place, go here: http://www.UND.edu/dept/undmusic/ensembles...e/schedule.html

I wonder, have you guys seen the bball playing schedule for this year and where the games are going to be played? Here it is:

As I pointed out in another, our defense also has a shutout going for over 9 straight quarters. 139:24 to be exact.
Think we can extend it this weekend?
