PWHL next locations are Hamilton, San Jose, Denver, and Vegas. San Jose looks to have jumped Denver and Vegas could get a team over Denver.

    Detroit was already announced.

Hamilton next is the strongest rumor, though no official announcement.

Rumors for San Jose and Vegas have spiked recently, but also no announcements.

For as much razzing as 3x3 gets, I doubt it's going anywhere, because all of the adjacent levels of hockey (USHL, CHL, IIHF, AHL, NHL, Olympics) have embraced it.  It's pretty much has become part of the definition of what a hockey game even is at this point.

Agreed.  NHL has had it for overtime for more than 10 years now.  It's definitely part of the game now.  People aren't complaining about the smaller neutral zone, not changing lines after icing, or being able to do a two-line pass.  Those three have only been part of the game for 20 years.

Sorry to see Klee leave. He's making a mistake.

I definitely saw him having a bigger role next year.  Unless he was told that there are some high-talent forwards coming in and he was going to continue on the 4th line, it does seem like a bit of a knee-jerk reaction.

On the other hand, his dad works in St. Paul, so his dad will be able to come to more of his games.

I've said that for a while. I've heard from some reliable sources that he doesn't treat the players great. I've had people blast back on my on Twitter that there is no way that is right. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, I'm just sharing what I've heard. Sounds like he lost the locker room to me. The locker room isn't low on talent, and it wasn't just a bad year, it was historically bad!

I just looked up some history to compare.

The Gopher's record this season was 11-22-3.

The last time UND had 11 or fewer wins was 1993-94 (11-23-4), which was Gino's last year.

Prior to that it was 1974-75 which saw a record of 6-28-2.

In the Gopher side, they have seen this few wins since 1971-72, which had a record of 8-24-0.

So yeah, this year was "historically bad" for them.

I like how the Spuds celebrate at their own bench

I was just saying the same thing to my daughter.  It’s so much better than the 200 foot celebration to the student section like so many other teams are doing.

Geno would be perfect for the state's tournament.

Is is pronounced rose-MOUNT or rose-MONT? Only ever heard the latter, but lived in North suburbs or near the river so haven't spent much if any time there.

It’s “mount”.  I have no idea why so many people say “mont”.

    Rosemont is in Illinois.

Already tired of the 200 foot cellies....there's my get off my lawn pet peeve.

Glad I'm not the only one.  It looks like they're trying to not celebrate with the teammates that helped them score.  It's one thing if the student section is at the end of the ice where they scored, but when it's at the opposite end, the whole thing looks ridiculous.

For a supposed FBS school, the presentation on NCHC tv was pathetic.  A high school could have done better.  The announcers were listless.  UND goals were barely acknowledged.  Between period coverage of anything was non existent.  I expect more than this for my subscription.

I could have even been ok with them being upset about UND goals.  Instead it was complete apathy almost like they were calling an offsides or icing.

    It is truly pathetic.

Maybe I'm not crazy.  Feels like we just shoot and pray way to much.  It's so frustrating.

While that may be true, how many times in the past have we been frustrated because they're always looking for the perfect shot, hold the zone for a long time, and end up losing the puck without taking a shot?  It's a balance, for sure, but I'd rather have this, considering how many goals are scored because of an intentional tip or unintentional deflection

If you want to follow along, Legacy Hockey has a tremendous website with stats, games, etc.

MN Hockey Hub (mnhockeyhub.com) used to be a great resource.  Now it's owned by Star Tribune and you can't see a fraction of the information without paying.  It's making it mostly useless.

    Go Spuds!
