First of all, you claimed interest in scheduling 2 FBS games a season is incorrect. 1 FBS game a season is correct. 2 is needless for a team with playoff aspirations. So that leaves 2 openings. UND every year and another FCS, hopefully one of the CA teams, is what is going to be done. Set in stone. Second, UND will be just as good as Davis and Ga Southern. They won't require a charter plane to get there or renting out a hotel. It allows our fans to travel to the games. And most importantly, it's a guaranteed sell out when they come to the Fargodome. No other FCS team, save SDSU, can offer that to us. Even if we are in the Gateway and they're in the Great West, it will be the equivalent of Florida/Florda State. Set in stone.

NDSU and UND are going to resume their all sports scheduling annually in 2009 when UND is a DI counter. That's written in stone and will not shift in either direction for anything. So be done with this mindless blather.

Once the games do start to happen again (looks like 2009, but there is still a very small chance), I say we just wipe the slate clean and approach each other as if we were 2 I-AA programs that had never met before. In that case, home/home would be the only acceptable deal. I do think that UND should play at Fargo first since we played at UND in 2003. I don't think that's too much to ask.

Well, technically the 07 seniors who redshirted did experience the 03 game, they just didn't have an opportunity to play in it. But the 08 redshirt seniors, OTOH ... you're right, it's a damned shame.

IMO, the game shouldn't be played for anything less than the nickel. If the UND football team all dies from an ebola outbreak and you have to find replacements from the student body, I still want to play for the nickel. It's disrespect to all the games, players, coaches, and fans in the 100+ years of the rivalry to play without it.

The 3-4 is such an odd defense to me. It seems much more natural to have 2 big guys up front and 1 MLB vs 2 MLBs and 1 big guy (keeping the DEs and OLBs a constant). But when it works, boy it works.

Which would mean that getting football into a conference as soon as possible would take priority. With the best football conference in terms of GPI being the Great West, UND should look for membership immediately.

I've not said that ND should be pairing with SD for high school all star games. What are you talking about? UND might end up in the Mid Con. I don't know. I just know they won't be going to the Big Sky.
