  1. Well, it would certainly explain his affinity for farm animals. And the incoherent idiocy he spews.
  2. Says the guy with absolutely no ties to the university beyond a few cheap seat tickets.
  3. Some people actually think the NC$$ really cares about what voters in North Dakota do. It's pretty amusing really, given the organization's disdain for the political process. As for Dave, Retch, et. al, they've made it abundantly clear they don't give a shiat about the school itself or its student-athletes.
  4. Actually, you can copy, cite, etc., other sources of information provided you actually attribute the source. Most people do that pretty frequently here. But since you're a noob, I suppose it's too much for you go beyond rants so early in your tenure here. Your take on "plagiarism" is as ignorant as your views you've expressed the past few days. I can't decide if you're really Dave in drag or not. Perhaps one of his personalities has finally loosened from its moorings.
  5. Why should she be any different from any of the other noobs who have come crawling out of the rocks the past few weeks?
  6. Dave just derives "self-gratifying" pleasure from all of the attention.
  7. I wonder if he'll trot out the "Divine Providence" argument. That's always a winner. Good thing SL's getting its money's worth with this loser.
  8. Well, at least some of us still have standards.
  9. Announcer: "Dave starts waffling and juggling in 3 ... 2 ... "
  10. He's a sly little guy.
  11. Ace's College?
  12. We could call you "Bruce McLeod" then.
  13. The "fix" was in ...
  14. Oh, I don't know about that. When I was a fourth grader at Our Lady of the Worthless Miracle, our home field was an asphalt parking lot. We were more than happy to play our flag football championship at St. Vito The Shylock's semi-grassy front lawn in front our adoring parents, and a host of glaring priests and nuns.
  15. Hi Noob. Are you Dave or ... well, your command of the English language is better than our resident sheep herder.
  16. Which begs the question if you even read their screed, let alone comprehend it. (I'd ask you to match it with reality, but I don't want to tax you before the weekend.) But I believe it has enough holes to where it may be mistaken for your dome.
  17. What lies? And please don't confuse "lies" with your own selfish delusions, again.
  18. Where was this "committee" when it actually mattered in 2005 or so? This issue has been going for more than five years for most of us, but it's nice they finally arrived after their help would have made a difference. Again, where are the tangible benefits for UND to keep the Sioux moniker? It seems pretty selfish of them to not disseminate what advantages there are to UND and its student-athletes in keeping the moniker, beyond wispy notions of "tradition and culture". And the dear committee seems to have conveniently overlooked the fact that 'SU has scheduled and beaten Minnesota in football in the very recent past, and has also played schools like Kansas and Iowa State. Talk about "deceitful tongues" ...
  19. Is there any organized group for the No side, or just the same reprobates hanging around SAB, and a few here, who broke into their kids' piggy to fund their campaign and buy more Sioux fan gear?
  20. The issue would probably not be prosecuted by the Board if Yes prevails. However, Clueless Al could possibly push it to determine the extent of the Board's power versus the legislature. As well, if the November vote keeps rolling they would have probably have to revisit the issue later, NoDaks should be really proud of this mess ...
  21. I find it amusing that they, and a few others here, are complaining that the UND Alumni Association would fund the "yes" campaign like those monies are public funds. If the "No" camp wasn't so selfishly short-sighted those funds could have been used elsewhere.
  22. I believe that's the case. IIRC two(?) of the justices opined the case was not yet "ripe" since the vote was still pending.
  23. In my own view, and based on many of the things that happened from 2005-07, I don't think many in power thought the NC$$ was serious, or that UND would easily meet the settlement terms. If any one of NoDak's MOC had raised the same full-throated rebuke of the NC$$ that those from Florida and Utah did, we may not be having this conversation. The only "X" factor would still be approval from SR or SL. SL's leadership at the time told Kupchella the name issue wasn't their concern, which may have led us to litigation and the resulting two-tribes approval requirement. Having been privy to any number of large scale settlements with various agencies, I know that many issues are discussed sub silencio that do not reach the agreement. I believe UND's move to D1 was part of that discussion and the Sioux moniker was the price to be paid to ensure the NC$$ didn't road block us. And it appears, based on the rumblings from other schools, conferences, etc., that I may be correct.
  24. Agreed. Too many academics lack any background outside of the "ivory tower". Seems like she has a lot to offer the school and its stakeholders.
