But this is a time for reality, and Ralph was a realist. Ralph made much of his mioney in Vegas during the 60s-70s, before it became so "sanitized". Ralph was probably the biggest pragmatist around to navigate through the local thugs, officials and union stewards in the gambling and construction businesses. I'm sure Ralph would have been more interested in the school and its student athletes when the impacts of the sanctions were beginning to be seen.

Contrary to what some on the coasts may think, NoDaks generally show a great degree of common sense when they go to the polls and don't get wrapped up in the hysterics or "smoke and mirrors" arguments.

Agreed. I'm not happy about the name going away, and I doubt most people who voted "yes" are either. However, the costs of keeping it exceed the perceived benefits.
