You've obviously haven't been to too many away und hockey games. Probably impossible to prove the away attendance for a season....but und hockey definately has more fans that buy away tickets than ndsu.

That is correct that some of these schools have won national championships(at the highest level of NCAA hockey at that).

I'm far from a hockey only fan. Isnt my number one sport and neither is football. Though I do enjoy hockey at any level. So you are saying ndsu's football team is more watered down than und's hockey team?

So you are saying that und hockey is more of a feeder to the NHL than ndsu football is to the nfl?

Good point with the stats. I know the thread title is fcs vs NCAA d1 hockey.....but really shouldn't we be comparing und hockey to ndsu football? Someone's gotta drop this stat......% of und hockey players that make the NHL vs % of ndsu football players that make the nfl. Or % of each current team that is drafted. These are fair comparisons if you want to compare what each team means to the highest level of their respective sport.

I don't think anyone is saying fcs football sucks. It's just being pointed out that fcs is not the highest level of football in the NCAA. Edit....ok I saw Irish said it sucks my bad.

I've contacted one of them and this company still didn't know what if any would still be available to them.

In the ncaa's comparing fcs to fbs football is like comparing d3 to d1 hockey. Sure any team can step up and compete on any given day but fcs/d3 are just a tier lower.

You hate und hockey fans because of what one fan says on a message board? And please explain how hockey is a 2nd or third tier sport to almost everyone else in the country. I understand that baseball, basketball, and football may have a higher # of fans.....so does this make hockey a fourth tier sport?

It's the level und plays at too and I understand that but lets be realistic here. How many pro sports in the us are there that the NCAA can feed athletes to? Basketball, football, soccer, baseball, hockey, tennis, golf, mma.....I may be missing a few. But these are the sports a pro athlete can make a very decent paycheck in. FBS sends many more athletes into the nfl than fcs does. Athletes on both levels are extremely talented but fbs/bcs is simply a higher level. I won't belittle the fcs but.....any athlete that can win a national championship at the highest level of competition in the ncaas is an outstanding athlete.

I'd be very impressed if ndsu won the ncaas as a team in wrestling. Much more impressed than I would be by their fcs football titles.

So more home games per year for und hockey puts und hockey at more tickets sold than ndsu football. More tickets sold at und. With a quarter of fargo's population;)

Ok gene. We've heard from you multiple times to get off your guys' backs....maybe we should take you more seriously. Your poor guys continue to be villified even though the crimes being committed are usually not of sexual nature or violent. And bad publicity is better than no publicity? I'd agree they do. Most people look up to alot of them and they aren't just handed that. You earn your reputation. Do remember though that they are also easily identifiable by law enforcement.

I never said bohl or Taylor defended their cutting out on community service. But both have a history of defending questionable actions. Would you agree that maybe your team's issue may be a little deeper than a few bad apples?
