Has anyone heard where else he will be taking the cup? The articles say he'll be spending the day in Grand Forks with the cup and I've heard a ton of rumors as to where else it could be visiting (ex.- Judys bar). Has anything been confirmed?

ESPNU just played the UND/BC semifinal game last night. Though it was sad to be reminded of the loss, it was nice to see some Fighting Sioux hockey again. About a week and a half ago, they played the Holy Cross/Gopher loss game, which was entertaining as well. For anyone that can upgrade to receive ESPNU, I'd highly recommend this, as they have been playing a couple college hockey games from last season per week lately.

I could've sworn the guy pronounced "Tavares" as "Toews". Good thing it wasn't our John.

My bad, they were talking about John Tavares from the U18 team. It must be pronounced very similare to Toews. Kinda scary! I had to check TSN as I was a little worried, but now relieved.

This morning I was listening to my xm radio and they mentioned that 2 players from the Canadian WJC team are currently injured. One of them being Toews. Has anyone else heard this?

Last year I don't think they had more than a couple games on WDAZ. Sioux Fan 5 - you'd need to get the correct satellite mentioned above. Just don't wear your Michigan jersey when you watch Sioux games, ok?

Doesn't Wisconsin do this as well? They only play us because they're required to play scheduled WCHA games, right? I can't remember who told me that, but I've heard it somewhere.

For the regular season last year, between all the FSN's, ESPNU, WDAZ and CSTV, I think there was 8 or 9 Sioux games broadcasted. Does anyone know when the tv schedules will be finalized for WDAZ and FSSN at least? BTW, you need to upgrade to get both CSTV, the FSN sports package, and ESPNU. You are probably better off with Midcontinent if they have FSSN. I wish I had that as an option! If you like watching alot of college hockey from around the country, this is an excellent way to go, as you usually get 5-6 games per week on.

Toews seems like a pretty bright kid. He turned down a big chunk of money to play another year so he could develop the way he feels best. He obviously has a ton of confidence in his teammates and coaching staff. He must see the Sioux fairing very well this next season. Things are looking good!
