  1. Rob Mihulka gave me a double shiner with a clean open-ice hit in HS. I thought I'd run into the zamboni. As good a "heads up" lesson as you can get, and I'm sure I was low hanging fruit to him. RIP RM
  2. I have bothersome RLS at times. The magnesium helps, eh?
  3. Isn't there over-the-counter stuff for that? Old as Sic is, he's probably already taking it.
  4. Thinking of cueing up a couple of old games Blackheart put together for us a couple of years ago. Best 2 or 3 to play back during the dead of college hockey night?
  5. If you weren't introduced to college hockey until 1999, you are considered a Newbie (a BRAND Newbie) and may be seen but not heard. And if being seen is important to you, send whatever self-pics this forum allows. The good news is that you can move on from your Newbie status in ten years, so hopefully the Mavs will still have a team at that time.
  6. Not enough grinder in him.
  7. That's nice, but back "then" every player on the team was like that.
  8. No more "Are you kidding me??"
  9. Apparently it’s not just diamond salesmen who believe size matters.
  10. Gaber is an interesting one. There were times during the first half of last year when it appeared he was not entirely in synch with the rest of the forward group. But I have little to nothing to base that on other than views from afar. He's definitely a passionate player who is willing to work hard on the ice (and probably off it).
  11. And Stevens Point is usually better than those teams.
  12. They’re going with grindahs. Elite picks have gotten them nothing
  13. He does, but boy, he won't find that kind of time and space that close in against most NCAA teams.
  14. Fans tend to forget or ignore that, sometimes with the excuse that these are elite level players, many of whom will make a lot of money in just a few years. But they are entitled to many of the same lapses in judgment we were guilty of at that age. And it is just a game, though fans often make it into something more because they need it to be in their sorryazz, burdlike lives.
  15. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
  16. It's comforting to know that your own memory of that experience is not clouded by the effects of alcohol.
  17. Others might call it letting your true arsehole nature shine through.
  18. You’ve had a strong couple of weeks though, Sic. And no, I do not imply THAT.
  19. Does lame-azz humor qualify as new info this time of year?
  20. No way. They'd run the staff out of town on a rail, something I'd remember.
  21. I'm just glad I'll never live to see the day when our staff lets two native GF brothers and sons of a former Sioux athlete slip through their hands to play for our biggest rival, where they win two consecutive natties. Not sure I could handle it. For sure it would affect my social and professional lives and probably my libido.
  22. Living on the edge is not so bad sometimes.
  23. Ohio State start that with a wink and grin, or are they seriously threatened by those cowboys?
  24. Who, where, or what is the other Ohio State University?
  25. Well, I guess I might have been thinking more along the lines of maybe needing another D-man. NO RUSH THOUGH. Well be just fine with the ones we have. In fact, you can take some of what we’ve got if you want. We’re good. We’re good.
