Miami @ UND - Friday Gameday - Ludvig's Revenge Rd. 1!

You gotta be ready to come out hard, though, or the Berry apologists will just give him another chance on Saturday. -
Pyker.
-
Agree that these four games are important to win, but I wouldn't mind seeing them get schooled at least one game in Denver. Give them something to learn from and a nasty taste in their mouths.
-
I'm sure other schools' fans say the same about the Pepper at times.
-
Somebody got dangerously close to lutefisk for that pic.
-
Jeff Sauer brought CC to town for that series if I recall.

No doubt. Playing a full 20-30 should be enough. Save it for the tourney. Why not default on a few in Feb-March and let the boys unwind in Cancun during spring break. Piss in some elevators. Use it as a recruiting pitch. -

As it should be. Fortunately, this team has banked some very good pairwise points. They have to keep winning, obviously, since loses against pairwise-poor teams are costly. -
So many factors affect early season performance. I'd like to think Michigan is a 500 team, but by March they will probably be winning a lot of games.

In June, didn't most fans here predict that UND would be ranked #2 after the toughest part of the schedule? -
A little mixing of criminal and tort concepts there. Assumption of risk is a tort concept. But your observations are good ones, since there could be both civil and criminal cases--civil more likely than criminal, I would guess, though I know zero about UK tort law.
-
It is. I think many of us remember those fast, dynamic CC teams that could beat you but were fun to watch
-
Probably, though the concept is a basic one: A conviction (or finding of liability) should be based on the facts of the present case, not character as evidenced by prior acts.
-
Yup. The exceptions. They are narrowly applied, though.
-
Rules of evidence typically bar evidence of prior conduct (bad acts) to show they acted in conformity at the time of the alleged offense. There are exceptions, but the answer is probably "no."

Truth is, under all that fluff we suck. Haven't played a full 60 since '87. Music sucks these days too. Miss the Bee Gees. -
Early on last season several of us worried out loud that Gaber seemed to be trying to do too much, holding on to the puck too long (and losing it) and dangling when that was not likely to succeed. He's been different this year--more of a team leader, IMO. If he is off a little in production and is still as much a go-getter as he's always been, it's I'm good with it. The team is better at all phases except the pp, and that has been improving. He will always play an important scoring role on the team, and he is always a possession problem for defenses, even when he doesn't shoot.
-
Especially them. It. That.
-
I also wonder how involved he is with teaching defensive play of the forwards, who are an important part of the defense. That, and I wonder about world peace.

There are so many aspects of recruiting that are difficult to predict, so many moving parts that must perform well as a whole. We don’t know that this D corps will continue to play this well, but their fundamentals have been so strong. It’s not showy talent, just reliable and efficient play. I hope coach Simpson is part of the reason why; he’ll still be here when new players replace the old.
-
How do you assess the chances of discipline for this? The NCAA's rep on review of hits like this?
-
I recall thinking shots of Sandy Saturday night showed an angry, dour guy, even early in the game. Nobody expects a bench coach to be wearing a happy face, but he looked pissed off all the time. If he gets in a pissy mood on the bench, I can see now it would rub off on his players. I might have been seeing something that wasn't there.
