What tale is that, exactly? I read it as a focused, talented player who feels he and his team ought to have played better. Not the least bit unusual that even the best teams have off nights, but it is a little unusual to have the guy scoring an OT game-winner show that kind of refusal to settle for anything but the best. There isn't a team out there this year, or in UND's storied past, that plays at a top level every weekend. It's how they react to a sup-par performance that is the important part.

I love that we have him and expect to see him do what Mac, Blake, and Gaber have been doing. Eventually.

Fair statement. I like that he can be disruptive ala Kristo--someone the other side needs to account for. But it's getting close to one-and-done time, and turnovers are increasingly important, in all zones.

How is gfhockey handling UMD's continued years-long nosedive? Is he part of Ciskie's support group? I've heard the mantra used at those groups is that they didn't really want to win those games anyway.

Now they mostly have opium dens with honorary captains and "Den Mothers," of whom I think Sicatoka might be one (honorary only). Music does play an important part--mostly blues.

I hear you, but teams will tweak something, even if it's just working harder at blocking those shots. Leaving our snipers space to strike from Duncan's office won't do it.

You have to think teams will attack the points and wings more, as some have done in the past against our PP. You just can't let guys like Gaber, Mac, and Blake tee it up.

Finishing as a 1 in regional pairwise might have added value this year, as there will be very very good 1s. You always have to beat the best to win a banner, but eliminating one game against a BU, BC, or WI (or DU) can't hurt. Should be a great tourney this year. D is always big in the tournament, but there will be some racehorse hockey.
