Between Stafford and Zajac it's a pretty good bet at least one will be gone at the end of this year, and an unfortunately decent chance both will be gone. I would be that the coaches are hard after 1-2 top forwards. My bet would be they're targeting at least 1 additional forward for next year, and maybe a 2nd using Kermit's plan.

First real game of the season for your squad. Surprising? Yes. I doubt it will be anything to worry about longterm. I would expect the gophers will be terrorizing the rest of the league through this season. In the meantime, I certainly appreciate the opportunity to laugh at your expense.

He's had plenty of family who has attended and who have achieved at a high level, apparently. Somehow they must have forgotten to mention their problems to him? Or, possibly, they actually had positive experiences? How can you say he should spend more time on campus when so much of his family has been there and were apparently happy with their experience? How can you continue to dismiss the experiences of other Sioux who disagree with you out of hand?

I would agree with you. However, since the NCAA hasn't got a response to their current question, they apparently are free to disregard any outstanding information that they don't agree with.

Not that it ever is "important", but why not wait until after Jan 1 to throw up rankings? Seems like there is too little data until substantially later in the season.

Fight the good fight. Don't allow perceptions to alter your choice of topics. There should be no reason you can't get a good grade on a pro-nickname speech. If indeed you do a good job and get a bad grade based on subject matter, I would guess there would be ears in powerful places on that campus that would like to hear your story.

It happened with the UofM this year too. They mailed out, I believe football season tickets, with the name of a Gopher football legend misspelled.

I've been at a handful of hockey games over the past 5 years and never seen anything like it either. She barely got in the door of one event, and never attended one additional event yet portrays this behavior as pervasive. She says she doesn't have a chip on her shoulder. I suspect she just doesn't recognize the block she's always carried. Again, she goes on to elaborate on all the racism she's encountered, but the nickname didn't cause people to react that way. And if someone challenges you because you wear a "change the nickname" t-shirt, is that necessarily harrassment? What exactly happened? She wants a group to come and say how bad things are. What governmental Civil Rights group came and checked things out and found nothing?
