  1. Exactly.. this was never in jeopardy of receiving any kind of mandate. We knew that yesterday, last week, last month, last year. Even if UND would have come out with two remaining options today.... it would have been considered tainted by many.
  2. True.... it's just harder for me to to judge harshly when I am not in someone's shoes, I guess. But that's why they get paid the bucks!
  3. Not saying you are wrong... but that's you. Right or wrong -- I can't imagine the S storm that would have erupted had it been left off. It's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't. Just like this whole thing has been for quite some time. But that comes with leadership or lack thereof, so be it.
  4. Since we all care about what Brad has to say, here's one of his latest Tweets: Brad E. Schlossman ‏@SchlossmanGF 15m15 minutes agoWord is that the current students voted heavily in favor of Fighting Hawks, interestingly enough.
  5. Well, there you have it then. Must be right.
  6. It was/is the students pushing FH not the administration nor the faculty.
  7. The were probably rounded off, if that makes any sense at all.
  8. How many of the North Stars lovers will migrate to Nodaks now? Hmmm.
  9. I think you are spot on... thinking was they were so close, prez wanted three instead of two.
  10. Here it is folks. http://und.edu/news/2015/10/nickname-runoff-vote.cfm
  11. Nodaks Roughriders Fighting Hawks And go!
  12. Actually, like you, BigGame is usually pretty measured in his support and criticism of UND's programs for the most part. Both of you bring nice perspective and interesting comments to the fray.
  13. This is where I think the importance of the HPC, now open for use, will come in really handy for our QBs and receivers, especially Studs. They will have all winter and spring ball to develop and improve in a nice climate controlled honest goodness football field. They just need to take it upon themselves to organize those opportunities. The resources are there, time to exploit them!
  14. And Santiago is 4th in the FCS in rushing yards with 932 yds, this as a true freshman. He shattered Phil Moore's regular season freshman rushing yards record (847) this past weekend, too.
  15. From Tom Miller's reporting today after he game: Schweigert said his staff gave discussion to playing third-string quarterback Joe Mollberg, who was the starter at the beginning of last season. “We’ll take a look at it,” Schweigert said. “We’re evaluating it all of the time. We discussed it a little during the game, but our issue was in pass protection. We’re a growing program and we need to get better at a number of positions.” Studsrud, meanwhile, remains questionable for next week with a leg injury.
  16. I think he burned those bridges with us and we burned those bridges with him based on all the people he's locked out of his Twitter following and the disparaging comments he still makes about UND, Bubba's crew and Grand Forks in general. He's pretty bitter.
  17. Bump. My magic 8-ball says chances are good. By my arithmetic, Santiago only needs 68 yards to break 1,000 over the next 3 games.
  18. Root really fricks things up for a lot of us .... Midco can't seem to pick it up. And then last week at Weber was just sad as far as its inability to webcast a game.
  19. They will.... not everyone is a John Santiago.
  20. Are you a glass half full or half empty type of person?
