That, sir, is my job!

You might find some disagreement with this statement DaveK.

That Zajac has always been an ice hog! Gawd, I wish he'd quit that!!!!!!!

The Pepsi Center rink was not re-configured to regulation college zones prior to the West Regional; nor was the X for the Final Five. Two questions: Will the ice in St. Louis be "college" or NHL; and Does it matter I think the Sioux benefitted from the bigger space goal line to blue line, but were hindered somewhat in their cycling by the goal line being 2 feet closer to the end boards. "New" NHL Rink Dimensions * The neutral-zone edges of the blue lines will be positioned 64 feet from the attacking goal line and 75 feet from the end boards in the attacking zone. The addition of four feet in each of the offensive zones should encourage more offensive play, particularly on power-plays. * The goal lines will be positioned 11 feet from the end boards, two feet closer to the end boards than previously. * The size of the neutral zone will be reduced to 50' from 54'. * The blue lines and center line will remain at 12 inches in width.

Judging from his actions on the bench after Radke's hit, there's no question Johnson milked it. But before we cast aspersion his way, keep in mind that our #1 goaltender is a world-class milker as well. I sit right behind Phil and have seen him winking, laughing and giving little hand signals to the training staff while he's lying on the ice "stunned" from a hit. I'm just sayin'

I think the second link j posted is correct... both UND and UMTC records are two games short, so that'd be prior to NCAA play. I'm going to band the seeds and see what comes out... Obviously a #1 seed makes it, in BC, but at least two more WCHA teams would've been "in" so the argument is sort of pointless. But, then, so are most of my posts, so what's new?
-
Thanks j, but that KRACH is current as of today. What I am looking for is the KRACH that was computed at the end of the WCHA Final Five (which was I believe) the last of the conference playoffs to wrap up. I want to compare how a KRACH-seeded NCAA tourney would look with what PWR spit out. So I need an archived KRACH. Jim? Any help? Got anything squirelled away here at SS.com?

So........here we are almost 24 hours removed from the final Regional final, and no college player has signed a pro contract today? What's going on? Show me the money!!!!!!!!!!
-
I wish I would've saved the "final" KRACH rankings, and compared how the Regionals would've been seeded using this superior system instead of the Pairwise. It just seems to me that relying so heavily on Pairwise created some over-seeded teams. How else does one explain the fact that for the first time in NCAA history NO #1 seeds advance to the Frozen Four? What do we have: three 3s and a 4? The Tournament committee ought to be embarassed at this result and be taking a real objective look at what Pairwise has finally delivered. Anyone, by chance, have the KRACH rankings from a week ago still lying around somewhere? And would you care to seed the teams into four regional brackets using the NCAA's criteria? I'd be damn interested in seeing what the Frozen Four participants' ranks are. (Does that make sense?)

Hope I don't jinx things here, but I have been in communication with the Government Accounting Office to see how we're going to be able to buy game-worn Air Force sweaters. Seems we'll have to go through the normal "surplus" equipment auction system. They'd clash with all the beautiful Holy Cross sweaters seated at the John anyway.

I think we'd all agree that they both have sh*tty hair.

A kind, considerate and loving grandchild would fork over the extra dough for granny so she can keep her seats. Have her add your name to the tickets, and when she gives them up, you'll get them.

Hi-de-ho SiouxAddict! You shore do have a purr-ty mouth!

I thought you were going to change seats. Phats told me you're sick of having to squint through the glare bouncing off my head!

Yeah, the Bradys can blame this swoon on an empty house! What are there, maybe 463 people in the stands? And that's counting both teams and all the coaches. Oh well, at least they get to hang another "particpation" banner in the bunker.

Um, I don't know Goon. I kinda like the way that dress accentuates your legs. You've got really nice calves. And don't get me started about those toes..........

Of course it is. I live here.

I second dagies' response to yzerman19's posts regarding tactics and strategy. Far more interesting reading than "(this team) su***" and the refs screwed us. I am constantly amazed by the overwhelming lack of hockey knowledge displayed by many fans. Please keep it up yzerman19, your thoughts and efforts are appreciated by at least two of us.

My head's spinning from trying to figure this one out

Tough break for the Sioux/Gophers and the WCHA.

The Fighting Sioux will actually play BC the late game in St. Louis. Notre Dame'll have to wait for the championship game. -
This is actually a pretty funny turn of a phrase. Well, as long as they don't try any ill-advised blind, drop passes we should be okay.

Kinda doubt my divorce attorney's (or my not-quite-ex's attorney) gonna want to see me flying to Denver. (Unless they could be assured my plane will go down and they can collect my life insurance.) -
No kidding... how tough is it to say "Van-de-vel-de"? Poor Wooger had a heckuva time with that all weekend: Vanvel Vanveldy Vanevel Vandecamp I think I heard him get it right once.

I think the Gophers have reason to be miffed at the regional pairings. They are the #1 seed into the tournament and they get the UND-Michigan winner if they get by Air Force? This is arguably the toughest region in the playoff. Whoever wins the West wins the whole show.
