I don’t think greens in regulation is always going to dictate the score you shoot in golf, but over the long run, you will shoot better scores with more greens in regulation.

It amazes me that the same people that lamented Duluth’s dominant run years ago, are worried about a regular season loss to a team we badly outplayed. Duluth hasn’t won a league title in over 30 years, so their reputation wasn’t based on any wins or losses during the regular season. This team will ultimately be judged on what they do in the post season, provided they make the tournament. The reason Berry isn’t here right now is based mostly on the lack of post season success, not regular season.

We’ll see if this team is different against Bemidji, as veteran UND teams have a hard time scoring against them. May need to win 2-1, as Bemidji will be a lot tougher than a young Arizona State team. Take the week off and get healthy, and then be prepared to slug out a couple wins to improve our NPI.

I am loving to see Zellers when he is on the cusp of a hat trick, distributing the puck rather than throwing everything on net from anywhere on the ice. Josephson also dishing the puck when he had nice chances to shoot for himself.

Weren’t people concerned about losing Schultz last year when he was deferred? You wonder if those on their last year of junior eligibility think about whether they might just get ditched the following year if a CHL becomes available. I could see a Duluth offering Pilgrim if UND defers him another year. Guess that’s where the coaches and Brynn are in constant communication with people in the pipeline.

But they also have Pilgrim, B.Schultz, Simpson, A. Shultz, Williams, and ONeill in the pipeline, and who knows if they have another CHL guy or two in the back of their minds. If you push off any of the players, are they going to find a new home? I am assuming Carter Sanderson will play another year of juniors.

Is he looking to get eligible by the second semester? What does joining mid season do to team chemistry? BU and BC probably don’t care and will fit him in regardless.

Hopefully the players don’t take that attitude, because a college student doesn’t have the history behind losses to teams that should never have happened. Shouldn’t lose to them, but stranger things have happened.

I get that numbers aren’t the only picture, but you are correct, that you would think a veteran would be putting up some offense. Perhaps they should have looked at flipping Tyden Bergeson, who is doing quite well with Madison, and would fit well with the other Moorhead boys.

I think it would be awesome if Verhoeff is drafted by Calgary and that he and Reschny both stay 2 years at UND, win a Championship or 2, then make the jump together. A guy can hope anyway.
