  1. Especially when they called it a goal, and Miller did nothing to try and get out of the crease after initial contact. Keep your cool, and I see a five minute major coming to Duluth by trying to go out of their way to be physical.
  2. https://bchl.ca/stats/player/5825/40/cooper-moore Don't know how accurate this is being that I believe Moore signed his letter, but this shows him coming 2021-2022. Don't think him signing the letter this year means it is set in stone. It seems we haven't had all of our defensemen healthy that much this year, and it seems like that is quite common. Doesn't hurt to have that extra depth so you can send messages like Berry did to Bast last weekend after he took a penalty to put us down two men on the penalty kill.
  3. I think I read somewhere that Jamernik was interested in the Aerospace program, so maybe he has minimal scholarship dollars.
  4. Oh yeah, as I was going through the numbers I started after the traditional defensemen numbers.
  5. I would guess Gaber, Ness, Rizzo and Budy would take the spots of Bowen, Yon, Michaud and Smith, then it might come down to Ethan Bowen, Jamernik or Halliday to fill any spots if someone leaves early like Mismash or Kawaguchi.
  6. I recall a couple times people feeling great about playing Yale, especially after they beat Minnesota. Didn't turn out too well. I think sometimes players think the same way and by the time they realize it isn't going to go as easy as they thought, they are already behind the eight ball.
  7. I think you're going to get tough games now no matter what region you play in. How many times do people lament getting in a region with a team they think would be a tough nut to crack to get to the Frozen Four and never get past the first game. It happens every year, so you just better be playing good hockey at the time or you probably won't advance, regardless of region.
  8. What is the capacity for hockey?
  9. Tyler Kleven also with a goal and an assist, and Mitch Miller also looked good. Former defensive recruit Luke Reid also played in the game. With Cooper Moore also in the pipeline, can’t blame Reid for looking elsewhere.
  10. We could make it pretty tough with a split as well, but a sweep wouldn’t hurt either. The Fox Sports guys said that Duluth scores 35% of their goals on the power play, so need to stay out of the box as much as possible and be better on the pk when we do take a penalty. Hope the officials don’t make themselves part of the outcome.
  11. It amazes me that the sky is falling crowd still doesn’t respect how good our league truly is.
  12. But you can take a 5 minute major to get revenge on a player? You seem to have a double standard.
  13. Guess Gallant shouldn't have raised the expectation level with such an insane first year! By getting to the Cup finals the first year, being ousted by a phantom call last year, and being a few points outside of first place in their division and a playoff spot now, I would have thought he earned himself at least the rest of this season. Might be something more behind the scene between he and the GM.
  14. Unless you got in before the glut, it was $338 each way to Vegas.
  15. A stupid penalty is a stupid penalty. Once you start taking those penalties and can justify it, you put your team in a bad position. I am betting the same people that are shrugging it off would be all over Pinto if Omaha comes back like San Jose did against Vegas on a five minute major.
  16. Off the bandwagon already, Mr. Positive?
  17. 23 shot attempts in a game doesn’t scream to me wanted it more. Not 23 shots on goal, 23 shot attempts.
  18. I think we have all been in office situations where management doesn't hire from within on several occasions, and what that does to the morale of those that see that. Of course it is all dependent on being qualified for the position, but if you can hire from within, it creates a more united workplace, provided the person hired isn't despised.
  19. Think he signed his letter of intent, so would have to sit a year, but let’s face it UND wouldn’t be wanting him to come in next year anyway even if they were interested.
  20. I see Grant Slukynsky has 50 points in 13 games for Warroad, including 4 goals and 5 assists tonight against Detroit Lakes. Sounds like Potulny got a good one at Northern Michigan. I believe his dad played at UND.
  21. I thought Huntsville had a lot of dangerous plays this weekend, including the injuries to Bast and Bowen. It is very troublesome that the officials let a lot of those dangerous plays go. Of course that just follows suit to Don Adam’s officiating.
  22. No, but that is the point. Players take major leaps even after two years of not being very productive. Guys like Adams and Wilkie are all of a sudden the studs of their teams, and guys like Bowen have upped their role player status by chipping in more offensively. What would our roster look like this year if we would have replaced Bowen or other upperclassmen with more freshmen. Guys like Pinto who produce from the start and are responsible on both ends are rare.
  23. Taking the bad penalties seemed to call out a lack of respect for the competition. I was hoping we were past that after Canisius last year, but hopefully it is one more reminder for the guys lest we end up the number one overall seed and play a team that nobody thinks can win. St. Cloud knows that feeling times two, and I’m sure those games are harder to get over than if you lost to a top ten team. The What ifs certainly must be prevalent in those players and fan base. Oh, and can we quit calling players busts if they are slow starting out their careers. How many people wanted to start over fresh with all new players this year, getting rid of guys that are playing nice roles now. How good have guys like Adams and Bowen been this year, as well as Wilkie from Colorado College.

    2020 FB Recruiting

Not a good past week or so for Oklahoma. Maybe their performance against LSU hastened his decision.
  25. ...and the Hrkac Circus should have swept U.S. International, and that was with Tony Hrkac, not Wilbur and MM.
