i know it means nothing at this point in the season but having 2 seniors who have logged tons of minutes being the 3rd defensive pair should bode well for the depth of this team.

I have to disagree with your take. They didn't sign Leddy to play this year in the NHL, so why sign him? If it was a salary issue, they could sign a proven NHL D man for the same money that could step in and play this year. I believe Chicago just thinks that they want to develop Leddy instead of leaving it to the UM program.

why go to St.Paul....? the Wild don't score many goals so you might have to attend a couple of games to hear a goal song.

I second that. with this thread going exclusively to Eastern Conference Rants, I can't believe there isn't more chatter about the Western Conference. Maybe Redwing, Yzerman, Goon, and DaveK have turned off their tv's since they're teams are out out out of the playoffs. Meanwhile, a former Sioux player is on track to win the Conn Smythe trophy at age 22. Go Hawks, Go JT!

I had the same positive experience wearing a Sioux jersey to a Maple Leafs game in Toronto '05-'06. Zach gave us props, David Hale tapped the glass, and John Madden seemed to keep looking at the jersey during warmups.

there isn't another coach in the league I'd rather have than Hakstol. His success as coach combined with the history and tradition he continues to instill in the players, I don't think there's a better man for the job. I think the job he did this year with a young team was great. He's won a league title, the conference tourney, and reached the FF 4 times out of 6 tries. Winning the big one is the next step and I have confidence that will be done in the next few years.

I've always liked Lapanta. Clay Matvick has also been good. especially, his call on the Porter wrap-around goal! Maybe this change will bring some levity to the delusional Gopher fan base. Then again... probably not.

I don't think those little Yale guys will get to the scoring areas very often. Also, if the Sioux keep playing a punishing brand of hockey, the smart kids won't want to hang onto the puck very long, causing bad passes and turnovers for GOOOOALS! oh yeah, btw...STAY OUT OF THE BOX!
