Just heard that Fox has discontinued it's high school coverage for the rest of the season due to financial reasons. they will still be doing the Hockey Day in Minnesota.

Just caught the end of the Oilers/Canucks game. Oilers win it 2-1 in regulation after a wild final 3 minutes in which Vancouver scored just after time expired. Things look good for former Sioux, Taylor Chroney. Chorney was on the ice with under 2 mintues remaining in the game, trying to keep ex-Bulldog Nathan Raymond off the score sheet. Pat Quinn must have some confidence in the young pro.

actually, he went to the locker room instead of the box. there was a long delay getting him out of the locker room and into the box. the fans went crazy at Alltel. UND got absolutely smoked that game and it was an awful experience as a fan with all the Mankato faithful talking smack to the visiting fans.

I agree that he's not a bad hockey player but i don't understand your logic about being built for college hockey? what league is he built for in your opinion? Matt Greene, Mike Commodore, were both big bodies that adjusted to the college game and the pros. I would've hoped Joe would've developed like those guys but he didn't. The concussion didn't help his Senior year either.

If you're talking about funk, you can't exclude Chaka Khan!

I've got a feeling that they are similar to the Portland jerseys (Blackhawks) in reference to logo and striping. I would expect a little twist on the jersey to define UND branding. Maybe a mix of Portland and Spokane teams from earlier link? Hak has said he's a traditional-jersey guy, correct? Whatever it is, the team will have a design of it's own as they enter a new era of Fighting Sioux Hockey. Crossing my fingers on this one.... It would be a damn shame if the new logo isn't stitched on a Championship banner.

Did any of you guys actually watch a NJD game last year? they weren't an up-and-down team by any means. they've always been defensive and with Lemaire, I don't think you'll see a big difference in the style of play from a year ago. also, i don't think Parise or Zajac will suffer at all. they are defensive responsible players already. the one thing you will see next year is an increase in points put up by Brian Rolston. I think the Devils will make the Eastern Conference Finals next year. imo

I would expect MacWilliam to be a regular in the lineup and in the top two pairs of D. Gleason will be the one sitting more often than not and Fienhage in. of course, just my opinion.

I don't think Q should keep Toews and Kane together vs. the Wings. I thought that for most of the season the best line was Toews, Buff, and Brower. Kane is effective right now when he has time and space and he will get none of that this series.
