Sioux Habit- I hope you mean Greene from his last year and not his first. Matt turned into a nice player but most of his tenure with the Sioux was, imo, marred with bad penalties and slow decision making when breaking the puck out. The Mankato Greene/Blais incident is one of the classics. Of course I did love that he threw one big hit after another. I always thought he got a bunch of penalties for hitting too hard. I don't think everything clicked for Matt until the 2nd half of his last season. That said, I enjoyed watching him with the Sioux, good and bad. MacWilliam sounds like he'll fit in very nicely next season.

I find it interesting how McLeod is talking so tough about Shyiak and 3 weeks ago deferred to Denver University to hand out a punishment for Gwoz' actions in Grand Forks. This is a prime example of the Rug and Woog fairy tales. The reason Goofer fans are so obtuse is because they've been listening to those losers call UM games. The casual goofer hockey fan doesn't stand a chance from this brainwashing. Another example is Friday night in Mankato. After all the penalties, FSN showed a graphic listing the most penalized teams in the league and the Gophs and Mavs were in the top 3 with Wisconsin. Woog then proceeded to say, "North Dakota isn't in the top three??, we might have to check the stats that can't be right!" It's not the goofer fans fault, they've been molded from the "great" hockey minds of the Rug and Woog, full of arrogance, entitlement issues, and delusional beliefs about what minnesota hockey stands for. i.e. The high road, where halos are worn along with "The M." As far as the players and coach...., it's the alcohol served at arenas, abusive fans behind the bench, the student F-U chants, and bad officials that apparently only call them one-way. These things force tantrums and ugly behavior like cheap hits, attacking players from BEHIND, butt-ends, and running from a challenge.
