And we're underway. Sioux on offense to start
  2. Its amazing how long Hardin played on his leg. He was limping right after halftime. Gutty preformance.

    2012 Recruiting

Is it a habbit for ndsu coaches or media to write stories on players committing when they haven't? According to Dom Izzo this kid didn't commit last week. First Molberg, now this kid, might want to follow up before you come here posting this stuff. Thanks for taking the time to post about a kid who didn't commit to ndsu on the UND recruiting thread.
  4. Enough said.

So this is a bison post begging for attention? Bottom line is if us UND fans had the class to go to Bville and write the same posts we would get ran off the board and rightfully so. Instead you have posters who come to this board with their Bville names and made up names and try to run everything UND does into the ground and comment on all the happenings at UND. Thats actually a good laugh for us all.

I'd agree with this. Along with one or two, big physical strong side OLB's. In the Ryan Goven mode. This would improve our run defense even more. I'm interested to see how our safey we signed from Cali. is. I always have to remind myself we have some players redshirting who will hlep this team next year at WR, LB, more talented O-linemen and there seems to be some talented secondary players (Butler, Fifita, and 3 pretty athletic corners). They will get serious looks come spring ball. Secondary will be wide open next year for playing time.

I don't know. Why would we care about a kid we didn't offer? ndsu offered him when he was a sophmore. Ask Molberg, a recruit who actually had offers from both schools which he preferred now that our transition is coming to a close, and we are in an AQ conference. As far as your question, your comparing a team that is in an AQ conference vs. a team that is not yet in an AQ conference and not playoff elgible. As far as next season when all things are equal, I'd imagine when Montana comes to the Alerus, the atmosphere will be pretty good and one that I am pretty confident recruits will enjoy. Cal Poly and Southern Utah will bring a solid atmosphere as well. Central Arkansas will probably be a ranked team coming in and Northern Arizona will be a conference game. Next year I am pretty confident in bringing recruits to the Alerus and the atmosphere it will provide in games when things matter.
  8. Thats if you think people who vote in polls are competent enough to not get schools mixed up with someone else. Are you sure these coaches are or should we write 2 articles on it in 4 weeks?
  9. Oh boy, get the tissue out. Here we go again.
  10. That is just great forcasting. Not a penney over.
  11. I know we disagreed yesterday but I agree with this post. I also agree with bin and think its a blow out.
  12. I think that after last week this is what makes me nervous about today. Hopefully our qb play at least gets back to the average play that doesn't turn the ball over and put the defense into tough spots. Still think we win today by a couple scores.
  13. So your happy that ndsu alumni buy tickets to a UND event, make the trek to Grand Forks every other weekend in the winter but still buy tickets to other ndsu events? I'm failing to see why that would make you happy?
  14. UND used t.o fill the visitors section of UNC's football stadium in D2. We'll see how many show up this weekend but I'm guessing it is well, well over 50.
  15. Have fun with that.....
  16. I think the defense plays well and limits their running game by not giving up any big plays. Offense continues to run the ball well but our scoring plays come through the air. Sioux win 23-14.
  17. Great response Jason. Thanks for taking the time to post and fill us in on what goes on. Keep up the good work.
  18. Those are awesome videos. Nice work to who put those together.
  19. After the bye week the football team gets ready to take the field this Saturday for Homecoming vs. Cal Poly.. What are everyone's thoughts on this one? I'm interested to see how the young defensive linemen answer the call now that they will be more heavily relied upon in the rotation. Also, did the bye week help the recent lack of a passing game? They will get tested this week as Cal Poly brings in one of the top corners in FCS. Should be fun.

Positive rep +++++ The same guys who sung this kids praises when Fargo's media wrote he committed to ndsu were the first one's to say how bad of a qb he is and how he'll jump ship if another offer comes his way. It's a yearly thing when it comes to ndsu fans and recruiting.
  21. I agree, Bellmore is a big loss. We are just not as deep on the defensive line as we are on the OL. We have some young kids, redshirt freshmen who will need to step up and are going to see some reps in both spots. In my mind our offense is really going to have to step up now and move the ball. In the games we have lost our defense has been on the field waaaay to long and that won't be good now that we are one more guy short on the D-line.
  22. I'll do the last 3 for sure. Poly and USD are games that will be fun to watch and with them being Homecoming and USD should be good crowds. I'll go to Sioux Falls just cause the season will be winding down but I don't expect a great turnout. I think there are a lot more in agreement here that if we would have had only one of these schools on the schdule this year I could have maybe tolerated it as it was last year of transition, whatever. The turnout will be better for USD and Cal Poly, and hopefully Faison realizes that he needs to get the Mines game off of next years schedule and people just aren't going to show up for these games. We may be saving $$$ on the front end by not having to pay these teams to come to the Alerus, but we are losing fans in attendance cause the games aren't competitive and fan's don't really care. It sucks for the team who is doesn't have a say in scheduling and are beating the teams badly that they should. Like I said, rest up this week boys. Nice first half of the season, now its time to finish strong and bring home that Great West championship starting with Cal Poly.
  23. I'm a season ticket holder, a Sioux alum and love taking our little guy to Sioux football games. I didn't drive up for the game this weekend. Not cause I had something going on but because I wasn't going to drive up for a 40 point blowout. I know 15 others at work that were in the same boat and I talked to five people in Grand Forks who didn't bother going to the game. I don't hunt but if I did, I would have picked phesants over this game. This had everything to do with quality of opponent. I agree with darrell, Sioux Falls may be the same thing. That being said, the boys have a better record heading into the buy than most expected. Use the week to get healthy, get better and finish the season the way we now expect you to.
  24. Coach Lennon and much of his coaching staff at SIU did a lot for UND but he made his decision and moved on. I wish him well but like Herd said he isn't coming back. The kids on this team play for the current coaching staff and the team is having a great year. I really don't know why threads like this are warrented.
  25. Matt, don't go throwing facts at Johnny. Its a little over his head.
