I don’t think they get their tales kicked in just like I don’t think we would get our tails kicked in. I think both teams win more than they lose. Recent move up history would actually back that. The biggest difference is the understanding that your season is just for one bowl game. They aren’t getting any more fans or charging any more for tickets than they do now. I hope while they are working on getting into Conference USA, the remaining Dakota schools and Montana schools are trying to figure out how we can make a move together than give them the finger when they ask to come back in.

And if we don’t get some of the big returns Siegel is capable of we likely lose an additional game or two and the season is done. Play your best players whether it’s return game or coverage. We don’t have the luxury yet to just have a return guy. Guys like Siegel also need to show they can do this to increase value at the next level.

Youngstown will be full of good athletes, play physical football and be a tough place to play. They probably should have beat us last year at our place. It was as flat of a game as we have played.

I’d say they already had it getting 10 points in the final minutes of the first half to close the gap to a one point game.

Outside of the FB/TB/TE in Fargo, probably the best in the conference. Defense needs to be focused. This game will be a rock fight

Didn’t pay much attention.

One of the best atmospheres in the Alerus I have been at. Maybe not the loudest but crowd was having fun and into the game at the right times. Music was good (maybe played a little when we had the ball) but entertaining. Band was solid as usual. Great afternoon. UND was solid but can improve so much. Stay focused next week and prove we can do it on the road.

Another thing- this stretch of Missouri St.’s schedule is also a grind for them. Two losses in a row to Arkansas and SDSU. Than us, SIU and UNI (after a bye). A loss for them tomorrow puts added importance on their next two. Really for both teams tomorrow is a must win and we will be facing a very hungry and talented team. Be there, be loud and help the boys out anyway we can.

Which makes the lack of playing time of Buckner at safety a head scratcher. I’ve never seen a practice but from all of Millers write ups during camp he was making plays. If our secondary is going to get beat with guys who know the defense but just can’t make a play, may as well play the guy who can make a play if he can get into the right spot. Worse case is we get scored on anyway.

It’s a must win game……in week 5. Need to win it for a lot of different reasons. Crowd should be good.

At one point SIU was converting 3rd downs at an 80% clip. That is brutal.

I always think the SIUs coaching staff familiarity with the/our 3-4 puts a lot of pressure on our offense to have to score. Would love to see Isiah have a game like last year I think today is Red’s big day and we find another way to win by 4. 34-30

Does it not feel like #15 Javon Williams has been on that roster for ever?? And he’s only a JR.

That’s really to bad. Only going to see more and more of this. He would have had every opportunity to post numbers this year with teams throwing away from CJ. Wish him well

Having both teams ranked for upcoming home games will go a long ways getting fans to the games. Would be really nice to be ranked in the top 10/15 when the puck drops. When you are in the same state as a team consistently in the top 5, not being ranked is not the best look. So while it’s easy to just say “just win” and the polls take care of themselves, writing them off as meaningless is pretty short sighted for the importance to the casual fan.

Great to win those. Years past we lose this game, kill fan interest depending on the outcome of another game tonight. Found a way to win.
