Coach Kill has been successful at every level he's coached, even starting to turn around the Gophers. You don't do that with successful players only. If he thinks highly enough of Kostich to keep him around and help him get a full time job, that says something. Also, I'm guessing Kostich has learned a lot from being around a successful staff.

So any speculaiton on who the new addition is going to be?

I might be wrong but I'd be willing to bet they don't wait until mid January next year for recruiting weekends. It's only been a couple weeks. Coaches aren't going to just show up in a kids living room, invite him on campus and expect him to show. They need some time to evaluate. In my opinion we will get some talent this class but I'm not basing my judgement on how this staff does this year. Afterall, they had 4 weeks.

Schmidty will do fine as D Cord. It would be awesome if somehow we could put some money together to get Tibs back here for even one year in some capacity. He would boost the staff even further and help player development so much with his knowledge and experience. Very unlikely I know, but I can wish.

We looked good when we moved the ball. Struggled when we got a little selfish. Missed some good looks at the rim in transition. Left about 10 points off the board by missing some bunnies. Defense looked better today. They had 9 points off of 3 point heaves as the shot clock expired. Overall impressions- need to work on the selfish play. Have to move the ball next time we play Weber or we'll get beat again.

Weber shooting 57% from behind the arc. Not all have been contested but that is still ridiculous shooting.

I was looking forward to a recruiting weekend but after stepping back and looking at it I don't mind waiting until next weekend. Hopefully get a couple more pieces of the coaching staff in place and let these kids know who they will be playing for. Also give another week to evaluate our needs. Hopefully the recruit in this weekend enjoys his weekend and things get off to a good start.
