  1. I'm not 100% sold on bubba abut his recruits did go on to have success. It's not sugar coating, it's based in results.
  2. homer

    2013 Playoffs

FU overwhelmed CC in that first half.
  3. Which coach on that list would not have applied if last week was the deadline?
  4. If he knew Muss was going to be let go even a week prior to the season ending, he could have pulled the trigger. The likely small list of applicants would not have been nearly as important as the additional week, assuming he has a plan.
  5. DeWitt is still the coach that interests me the most. The comments in articles from the players after he took over as d cord. make me believe he knows how to motivate.
  6. I think the key for Bubba if hired is who his assistant coaches are. I don't mind him as a chiice for coach, even over Pflu. You know who his defensive coordinator will be, it's his offensive guy that I haven't figured out.
  7. If he said it was easy we could all question where it's been the last few years. It could be from the Spirit Campaign, so it would make sense we didn't have it in the past. Or gfhockey's buddies really did pony up.
  8. Great post bin. My vote is for DeWitt. Have a feeling it's Bubba
  9. He better cut them fast. Nothing good is going to happen if these guys go for Christmas without a coach in place. He already fucked up there.
  10. Or why can't points be added up as apps come in? Some of these have been on their desk for a month.
  11. I think it comes down to focus. I look at the team basketball UND has played against Weber St. last year for example. To me its appears when they get focused, they play well. These last few games there has been too much one on one, we are ranked in the 300's for assists this year. You can't tell me other guys aren't open. Jones needs to correct this now before it becomes a habit.
  12. The people Faison is going to talk with about Pflu are those inside the Montana athletic dept and they are the ones who had to clean up the mess when he was gone. That is why I don't think he gets the job. I don't think the next head coach is on the list above. I vote other.
  13. It always comes back to that. Seriously though, pretty good win tonight.
  14. You said you'll take national titles in basketball............let me know when you get that one.
  15. Let me know when you win that national title in basketball.
  16. I think that is a direct quote from Bville. Good win for FU tonight. UND needs to learn to win on the road.
  17. Agreed, he is a good man. It will make it interesting which assistants will stay with him and which will go with Bohl.
  18. Keep in mind the defenses they have to play against week in and week out in the MVFC. In seriousness he's in my top 3 of the applicants who have applied just cause you can't argue his success as a head coach.
  19. I should also add- I don't agree with Faison taking the time he has. He should have had someone named today. My point of post #1625 above was that FU has a few more applicants with connections to the program while Gene Taylor was AD than we have.
  20. Whoever FU hires is going to have ties to the program. Unfortunately, UND has not had a bunch of guys go into coaching at the college level after they left school. We have also been successful in the past on the field and have not had a real high coaching turnover rate with coaches coming and going. That is going to affect the timeline of the search. I think its more likely the next coach at FU has ties to the program than the bet you have above. I also don't buy the thread started on Bville questioning whether FU is "too good" for some coaches to apply. In the end- they get a quality coach with ties to the program, we don't necessarily have that luxury unless we hire from SIU and the search may take longer.
