UND up one with 2:00 to go and we have the possession. Lets be patient here and get a bucket.
-
Steffan with a big three to go up one. They miss a three and we give up another offensive board on the other end.
-
Tied up with 6:45 to go.
-
Getting killed on the offensive glass.
-
Down two (60-58) with 11:14 left. Big two by Traylor and three by Anderson. We need to just get back into a halfcourt defensive set and we will be ok. They are trying to push the pace.
-
Huff misses a three and they come down and hit a three. Down 7 with 13 and change.
-
We are starting to play a little sloppy. Down 4 with 13:46 to go.
-
Sac. St. killing us on the offensive glass and in the paint.
-
That was a tough series for Traylor. Gets called for a clear out on the offensive glass. Than has a player go over his back on the defensive end, grab the offensive board and lower the shoulder for an easy lay up. My opinion is that if you call the clear out you have to call one of the calls on the other end.
-
I started watching late but if we are continually going to give up easy buckets after we score, why press. Sac St. is quickly in bounding and beating us with numbers to the other end.
This is it, if it's not working- make a change.

I am excited for the games today. Not real sure which team is going to show up this afternoon but I am hoping that our best basketball is played this weekend. Best of luck to both the men and women this weekend.

Interesting topic - I really believe that there is no great way to divide the classes - put Grafton in class A and they get hammered, put them in class B and year in year out they do the hammering because they have many times more students than some of the smaller schools. All of the old small class A schools are now class B - Rugby, Grafton, Trinity, Bottineau, etc and not just because of population loss - they either are at the bottom of class A or the top of class B. These teams seem to dominate now, and mainly because of numbers. This is not to say smaller schools don't get to the dance because they do, but it is frustrating to watch a team like Trinity who recruits and keeps their numbers under the class A limit take it to the public class B schools. Same thing year in year out with Shilo Christian.
Why would they cap their enrollment around 150 when the cuttoff for Class A is around 325?

And NDSU goes dancing again
maybe the wear and tear of big sky traveling has beating down our team?
Unlikely. Good game to watch. Congrats to FU. Can't wait for our tournament to start.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the team with the record of 24-6, should they make it 25-6, couldn't care less about a loss to UND earlier this season.
In my post I never said they did.
-
UND will be years behind NDSU in basketball if they get a win tonight. Despite the loss earlier this year, the Bison will have the last laugh if they make the NCAA tournament.
What if they both make the tournament? Do we all get to laugh together? I am unsure how the laughing rules would work than.

I fully agree. The playin game means nothing and it's almost an embarrassment if you are in it. I'm really hoping the BSC champ gets a 15 seed to prove all the naysayers wrong about the strength of the conference. I don't understand how the BSC can be ranked as low as it is in some projected brackets.
Out league had been terribly inconsistent this season. The play in game is no embarrassment. Every team in the NIT would trade their spot for a place in the play in game.
-
doesn't the title game get at least espnu?
summit gets espn
The Summit also wraps up their tournament before the big conferences get started with theirs.
As long as the Big Sky holds theirs when they do, the coverage will be minimal. The trade off is not playing for a week and a half prior to tipping off in the NCAAs.

Are you saying they do not? By not allowing tuition/scholarship money it would make the field more level. I also do not think you should be able to transfer to play in public schools unless your family actually moves into the schools boundaries.
I'm saying they do not.
-
The middle child syndrome. There really are not enough big little/small big schools to have a third class is there? As for Trinity what is their point? Really how fun can it be to win a rigged game? One thing that might make a difference is to not allow athletes to get any financial assistance. That should go for all private schools. If you can't pay the tuition on your own you can't play. It would be interesting to compare how private schools that give financial aid do in sports to private schools that don 't?
The private schools recruit excuse. Lame

After the NCAA responded, 67% voted to get rid of it. Before the the NCAA responded, the percentage was flipped on support for the law which would keep the name forever.
Short memories everyone.
Was there a vote on this to get your percentages? I know a lot if people who supported the nickname, not many of them supported the law.

Can't believe Midco cut off early. Glad to hear the guys finished the game. That win should put us in the conference tourney correct.
-
Looking for a win tonight however at worst a tie tonight and a win next week should seal it for us correct?
-
I wonder if Kolpack, Izzo and McFeely plan on filing open record requests daily to log a list on applicants?
-
I seen to recall hearing Fullerton on the radio in fargo getting hard over the idea of NDSU in the Sky.... about 5 minutes after saying they were well within their rights to reconsider UND as a member.....
