That sums up their shooting today

Would be great get for UND. Sounds like NDSU wasn't even on him, which is sad considering their returning "bigs".
If he comes to UND, FU wasn't interested. Never gets old
-
They were hot from behind the arc that first half. Some contested, some not but they !@#$ well.
-
Have to keep the ball movement on offense.

This is the best I have seen our D play all year.
So far it's looking good

Two on tresnick
-
How did he get that to go?
-
Shanks is enrolling in the spring. We'll have him for the Big Sky season next year.
Really?

Three bunnies

Missed two bunnies early. Let's go fellas

Bolomboy was impressive last year. I don't know how we match up with him today. Could use this win though. Looking forward to the game

I was looking forward to a recruiting weekend but after stepping back and looking at it I don't mind waiting until next weekend. Hopefully get a couple more pieces of the coaching staff in place and let these kids know who they will be playing for. Also give another week to evaluate our needs. Hopefully the recruit in this weekend enjoys his weekend and things get off to a good start.

Webb takes a charge. Wow.

Make some free throws

Big 3 by Schuler

Nash having a nice 2nd half

Our shooters have to shoot against this zone. They aren't even putting up shots. When we get it in the right hands they have to shoot Idaho out of that zone.

I would be surprised. I didn't see enough progression from our 2 freshman qbs to warrant retaining him.
I think there were more factors than position coaching going on with that. Offensive playcalling, o-line play, dropped passes, lack of running game, point differentials. I like Danny. Great enthusiasm. I'd be fine keeping him on the staff.

Article on Brendan and the offer.
Thanks for the updates Hambone.

So new staff confirmed so far:
HC - Bubba
OC - Rudolph
DC - Schmidt
DL - Gigli
DB - Rodgers
I would guess Schmidt would take on the LB's so the defensive side should be set. Still need someone to handle Special Teams and the offensive coaches (OL,RB, WR and QB, though I would think Rudolph would take one of those) plus recruiting coordinator, which is usually a position coach. Feel free to let me know if I missed something/someone.
I was just typing up the same type of list. The SiouxFB guys had the hiring brings the defensive staff to 4. I don't know who the 4th is, Myers? Also, defensively last year we had a CB coach and a safety coach so I would assume at least one more full time defensive coach if there is not a 4th out there. Offensively I think you are correct. Also, need to add grad assistants. Plenty of spots left to fill.

Thank god there is one voice of sanity on this board. Again I'll ask this question. If you are a recruit why in the hell would you choose UND over SU?? Playing time?? People are saying wait til this class is signed. Are you f#$#$%$ kidding me? The type of kids we are going to get at this point are Div II talent...Like the last two kids we just offered. There isn't a chance in hell we get those type of players this year...Zero chance...Have you looked at the kids that have Verballed to Su? We would take half that class and be happy as hell!! They still have another 8-10 kids to add....Again on those kids if we are head to head does anyone think a kid would choose us??/
Reality check people.....we are in a WORLD of hurt...and its not changing anytime soon...no matter who the coach is...
Your right, we should probably fold the program. You sure seem to stick up for FU a lot in your posts. Wierd!!

That will be interesting. It also makes you wonder where things have gone wrong in the last few years. Was it because the guys recruiting ND/SD/MN/WI were beaten by their counter parts in the mvfc? Did success breed success with the recruiting at the ac and sdsu?
I said this when UND gained membership in the BSC and I will say it again, the media share of voice in the region must increase significantly for UND football. Bubba's staff can't do it alone. The entire upper midwest must know that our region is Big Sky Country, not the mvfc. I realize this isn't easy with all the mvfc/summit schools dominating sports pages around the region but that worm must turn.
I think early in transition the coaching staff targeted the California and Texas type recruits and it failed. We got away from Wisconsin, South Dakota and even North Dakota for awhile. It came around and but us in the ass and I think the staff realized it the last couple years and refocused on those areas. And I think we pulled some talent, everywhere but South Dakota. Need to at least have a presence there.
I agree with your second point. A great place to start would be huge write ups on kids who commit here. High school coach interviews etc. Way behind in that dept.

You would think that with 6'11" coach that you would be able to recruit bigs and develop them. Next year we have Bryce Cashman coming in, he is 6'10" and 225 right now. The following year I am thinking that Kyle McKinley from Stillwater will also be coming in. He is another 6'10" kid so hopefully we can develop them. I am hoping that we get 6'9" Ngor Barnaba this year too. Just looking ahead to next year what do you guys think our starting lineup will be? My guess would be:
1 - Tyler
2 - Hooker
3 - Stefan
4 - Calcaterra
5 - Salmonson
What do you guys think of that? Definitely do not like the bigs!
Opportunity there for a 4 to come in and play. I forget about Tyler. He'll be a solid addition next year.

Regarding the strength coach, Bubba has already said he's had a couple of visits with Baukol about the importance of the conditioning program. But after watching several FCS playoff games and many Big Sky teams the past two years, I'm just wondering if this is an area where we are lacking. Every saturday at the Alerus I raise my eyebrow because the opposition always looks bigger, leaner, stronger. Is the result of our off-season workouts, or the players we are recruiting? Combination?
This, very noticeable in the trenches. We can't train linemen the same way we train WR and DBS

Weber shooting 57% from behind the arc. Not all have been contested but that is still ridiculous shooting.
