I hope the citizens of Grand Forks do not try to "buy" tribal approval for a Native American UND logo.

Where did you find this information? Last years (2005) schedule wasn't announced until mid-January...

I agree. Here is my suggestion...again. Try not to laugh this time...it hurts my feelings. The University of North Dakota TUNDRA. The school colors of green and white are still appropriate...tundra in the summer (green)...tundra in the winter (white). It ties to our geologic/geographic past. Imagine "Tundrastruck" (Thunderstruck by AC/DC) as the theme song as our team enters the field/arena. The word is derived from "tundar" meaning "treeless plain." It offends no one...not even PETA or any minority group (The White-Tails or Whitey's). To my knowledge, it is not used by any other university. It sounds tough... I could go on but I need to go walk my dog. You can thank me later.

The NCAA has already shown this is acceptable with the University of Illinois Illini...but who knows. Does a university have to have a nickname...?

Under the UND Talk and Smack Forum...it reads: "Let's keep UND off the main boards. Besides, just having this board will give some UND people fits." I doubt it... My prediction is that the UND Forum (@ Bisonville) will disappear shortly...for two reasons. 1) Just having the board will give some NDSU people fits. 2) They will realize that they have inadvertently stroked our egos rather than insulted us. Greetings, Regarding the UND license plate...is there a way that this can be made a "sticky" thread under UND Community? I believe there are plenty of interested North Dakota drivers to get the required 400 applications but only if they know about it! If the current thread drifts down...a few prospective applicants may be lost. Just a suggestion.

Let me be the first to admit that I read Bisonville.com as well as D2football.com, anygivensaturday.com, etc. You can never read too much...but sometimes you can say too much. A good friend of mine is a NDSU graduate and a current TeamMaker. Conversation usually begins with football and expands from there. I generally visit Bisonville so I can keep up to date on Bison happenings and make the conversation more interactive...I believe he does the same. I wouldn't say that either school is obsessed with the other...but I find it interesting that UND has "earned" its own forum @ Bisonville.

I guess this is addressed to me... No, I am not. I don't care if we win by 2 in OT...JUST WIN!!!
