  1. 109-62 UND over Mary 25-0
  2. UMES Shocks Nebraska "Las Vegas, Nev. -- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Women's Bowling Team did what many teams only dream of - they beat the reigning National Champions, the University of Nebraska. Nebraska (24-3) not only won last year's title, they won the year before as well, the only two years the NCAA has sponsored a championship in the sport."
  3. Hard to say...but Nebraska is the TWO-TIME defending National Champion!
  4. Best first post ever...welcome.
  5. Fine...the BESC staff mismanaged their first sellout. They will do better at the second sellout. Despite their failure...I disagree with comments like "We are not "lucky" to have this arena."
  6. The first sellout in BESC history and some fans went home disappointed...boo hoo. Some things to think about... 1) Someone always goes/stays home disappointed during a sell-out. 2) Recent attendance history Augustana - 2573 (01/26/2006) Nebraska-Omaha - 2718 (01/07/2006) Saginaw Valley State - 1821 (01/05/2006) Season Average - 2003-2004 - 2387 3) Sellouts are good on numerous levels a) Financial b) Buzz Generator c) Atmosphere conducive to "Homecourt Advantage" d) Increase ticket sales to other home games against "lesser" opponents 4) If the BESC failed because some fans went home disappointed...what does this mean for the REA? How many fans were disappointed that they could not get tickets to the Gophers/Badgers/ETC. "In its inaugural season (2001-02) in the new Ralph Engelstad Arena, Fighting Sioux Hockey attendance erupted into an all time high. All of the games in this 11,500+ capacity hockey arena sold out in just 43 minutes after single game tickets went on sale. Tickets sales have even increased each season thereafter." 5) IF the Betty COULD manage a sellout (3000+) for ALL home games it clearly be the DII Women's Basketball Attendance Champion and would finish no lower than 40th in DI WBB. We have a ways to go before either the MBB or WBB teams outgrow the Betty. We ARE lucky to have this arena.
  7. Bubba loses his o-coordinator...and now his Assistant Coach. "Nate Gibbs, a member of the University of Minnesota Duluth football coaching staff since 2000, is stepping down as a Bulldog assistant coach to accept a position with Edward Jones Investments in Atlanta, Geo." "...whose wife, Kim, is a native of the Atlanta area." Kim doesn't like Duluth?
  8. NCAA DII Women's 25th Anniversary Team Congratulations to Jenny Crouse!

  12. Something to strive for in the future...
  13. Speaking of upsets...did you see UMES beat Nebraska? UMES - University of Maryland Eastern Shore
  14. National Championships...four in one year and the NACDA Director's Cup. Women's Basketball Men's Swimming & Diving Women's Swimming & Diving Men's Hockey The first three are distinct possibilities and given UND's late run to the Frozen Four final last year...who knows?!?
  15. Last chance...voting ends 31JAN2006.

  17. Division II Football Task Force "There was more agreement on the plan of the Division II Football Task Force, which has proposed two Division II football championships
  18. Can someone post a screenshot?
  19. Here is the full report for UND.
  20. 91-61 Final 23-0
  21. NCAA Hockey Attendance - 2003/04 NCAA Men's Basketball Attendance - 2003/04 Wisconsin home game attendance average in 2004...was 11,701 (hockey) and 17,142 (basketball). These numbers do not imply that the same 11,701 or 17,142 persons attend each game. For a two game series...you could have anywhere to 11,701 to 23,402 (17,142 to 34,284) different individuals in attendance. I do not follow your logic on this one...
  22. That is a superb idea!!! Some bison are smart...somebison aren't.
