I think the Mavs had a pretty big cheering section last night and they did not disappoint. Are the organizers of the tourney going to request that the times of the Championship and 3rd place games be flip-flopped? Wouldn't want to confuse the gofer fans by having their team play in the afternoon.

Agreed...not sure why they didn't blow the whistle right away...maybe they wanted to see if Goldy was going to score first.

Not a hatty, but I was at a game at the Old Ralph around 1998 where Sioux D-man Brad Williamson had 6 (yes SIX) assists! Tried to look it up on USCHO, but it would not let me access the 97-98 season. (did not find it under the 98-99 season)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the Purple Cows shouldn't be #1...I'm just curious how the media out east would vote for a team they've probably never seen in action...ultimately, Pairwise usually gets it right at the end so it will be very interesting to see where they end up by the middle of March,

No...you can catch a lot of Hockey East on NBCSports, and the NCHC gets a few games on CBSSports...Pig 10 has their own network...unless you live in the Midwest, it's tough to see Mankato, Tech, Bowling Green, etc. Not a lot of natl tv exposure for the WCHA.

its interesting that Mankato is ranked #1...how many of those 42 people that voted them 1 have actually seen them play? Probably not many, which then begs the question why are they getting all these votes? They are 1 in the pairwise; does the media look at that before voting? Or are they just throwing darts?
