At this time last year, we had made 27 known offers (with no commitments). This year, 29. To reinforce the point that we shouldn't get too concerned at this time, we only signed three of the first 27 offerees last year and I think we all agree that we ended up with a pretty good recruiting class.. Very important camp next week (22nd). Hopefully, we will start to see some commitments shortly after it.

New offer, his first: LB Mike Timm, 6'1, 215, Wales (Kettle Moraine), WI

You should check with the UND athletic department. I am sure they will get a specific number of tickets from USD. They would be made available to Champions Club members first but, if available, you could then sit with UND fans. I am not sure if UND would have a "waiting list" for these tickets or simply sell them when they arrive.

The problem is that we don't have many "next men" with much size, experience, etc. A huge loss!

Absolutely, I think that is still happening but I also think, due to our success and new reputation, we are going after kids that we didn't think we could get in the past. In fact, coaches have told me that.

Excellent question - I would guess that it is likely about 50-50!

AJS - thanks for the info! It is great to see how UND recruiting has progressed over the last 3-4 years. The vast majority of the kids we are after have multiple offers. That has not been the case in the past. While we have certainly gotten some very good players that weren't offered by others, in general, I would rather be going after a recruit that a bunch of folks want than one that is getting little attention!
