  1. Guys - while I agree with hoops once on a while (not at all on this topic), his primary goal in life is to be a jerk - and he is very good at it!!! JUST IGNORE HIM - the more you try to debate him, the more satisfaction he gets as he tries to aggravate you!! IGNORE HIM!!
  2. NAU by 15 - what a nice surprise!

  6. This small kid (5'9", 165) must be good. He already has offers from UM, MSU & NDSU
  7. Very impressed with the ladies tonight against a very unorthodox team. The only fault was our really having trouble getting defensive rebounds - we weren't blocking out well but Sac St got a lot of rebounds simply due to their quickness. I have watched BB for many years and I don't remember a team ever having more offensive rebounds than defensive boards. Sac St. has 18 ORs and 15 DRs.
  8. That could happen anytime between now and June (when school is out).
  9. Timm was also at SU.
  10. I am in Vegas and have some $ on EWU covering a 3 point spread so I hope it happens for a couple of reasons - mostly that it would give us a one game lead on both teams!
  11. I think he was quoted that he expects to be the first guard off the bench next year. That said, I don't know if he is opposed to redshirting if asked to do so.
  12. Jones has had his back against the wall the last 3-4 years - we just didn't pull the plug. Had it not been for the budget crunch, he would have been gone after last season.
  13. It's not the employees, it's the company! And this company doesn't work for UND!
  14. SU also asks for feedback (not sure if they do so every year but they do it often) from current students regarding any new women's sports that could/should be added. Every time they do so, there is no compelling interest in adding sports. This apparently also helps their position with the NCAA/Title IX.
  15. You are correct - scholarship $, facilities and the number of women vs men participating (regardless of being on scholarship) are the three factors. If you are OK with two out of these three, you won't have any problems!
  16. The cost of running a women's game isn't dramatically different than a guy's so it is definitely a money loser. As pointed out earlier, the other major factor is that women's games take up so much of the calendar that could be used for other events.
  17. While they are politically correct enough not to take a public position on this, the folks running the Ralph would prefer that women's hockey disappeared.
  18. Agree - there were a ton of empty seats!
  19. Huge win - in past years, there is no way we would have hung in there to win a game like that!!!
  20. Hanging in there... Need to play smart the last 3 minutes.
  21. I don't know why they can't simply tell him not to shoot!
  22. Thanks for the update, Biz. A listing of all prospects that we know have been invited to our Jr Day: QB Keagan Calchera, 6'3”, 195, 4.8, Eau Claire (Memorial), MN QB Donald Jurek, 5'10', 165, Wilmar (Wilmar), MN RB Eddie Odanga, 5'10“, 195, 4.5, Chanhassen (Chanhassen), MN FB Tyler Zirpoli, 5'11”, 215, 5.0, Waukesha (Waukesha), WI WR Josh Aune, 6'1“, 195, 4.5, Virginia (Secondary), MN (3 Star - 247) WR Byron Bynum Jr, 6', 175, Blaine (Blaine), MN WR Luke Martens, 6'4”, 190, Apple Valley (Apple Valley), MN WR Phoenix Sproles, 6', 175, Robbinsdale (Cooper), MN (3 Star - 247) Has offers from USD & SDSU TE Steve Kletscher, 6'4“, 230, West St. Paul (St. Croix), MN OG Ron Audette, 6'3“, 310, Elk River (Elk River), MN We have offered OG Ian Bass, 6'4”, 275, Rosemount (Rosemount), MN OG Treyvon Cahalan, 6'3“, 295, Champlin (Park), MN DE Zach Whaley, 6'4”, 285, Prior Lake (Prior Lake), MN DE Tate Wildeman, 6'6“, 230, Parker (Legend), CO Has offer from CSU LB CJ Goetz, 6'4”, 225, 4.8, Waukesha (Catholic Memorial), WI Has offer from Bowling Green, NIU, NDSU & NM LB Kellen Mckeog, 6'1“, 190, Apple Valley (Apple Valley), MN S Liam Ford, 6'1”, 180, 4.9, Minneapolis (Benilde St. Margarets), MN
  23. I agree - we could use some help up front. Would like better production rather than simply "counting fouls to give". With two of them being seniors next year, it would be good to have some good young 4-5 position talent join the team soon.
  24. It probably was a factor but it sure would have been good for Walters (and the program) if he would have used a redshirt year to gain strength and weight. Similar situation as last year, it would have been beneficial for Collins to have another year to mature/develop.
