I hope everyone shows up - we sure don't need any last-minute no-shows! As school hasn't started and these kids aren't in summer school, do they need to pay for their room/board until September?

Veargis has verballed to GA St. I guess we had offered him but this has been a weird situation from the start. He supposedly had 10+ offers including AZ, ASU, Cal, VA Tech, UNC, NC St, etc. Why he would opt for GA St is beyond me!

New offer: C Aly Vanloo, 6'3", Beaver Dam (Beaver Dam), WI. Averaged 6+pts and 3.5 rebounds on a loaded team that went undefeated and won the D2 title last winter. Her first offer but I would guess a lot of folks will be after her in the next year or so. She plays AAU with North Tartan.

I recently talked to Billy - he is trying to convince his sister to commit but she would really like to play at IA St where she may or may not get an offer. He says she is a better shooter than he is.

A 6'6", 210 SF. He averaged 12.4 pts and 5.2 rebounds last year. Signed with Morehead St - not sure what happened. Originally from Greensboro, NC.

At this time last year, we had made 27 known offers (with no commitments). This year, 29. To reinforce the point that we shouldn't get too concerned at this time, we only signed three of the first 27 offerees last year and I think we all agree that we ended up with a pretty good recruiting class.. Very important camp next week (22nd). Hopefully, we will start to see some commitments shortly after it.
