Was the Boyce defensive honor a surprise?

If USD wins, I bet there is a good chance that the Championship game will not be played. Both USD and, of course, UND are in the Regional so the game really doesn't mean too much. If UNO wins, they will need to come to GF. I fully agree - they would be worn-out!

While I certainly agree with you in my hope that UND is able to expand its recruiting area greatly (to be as successful as possible, we need to); however, it is much more easily said than done. With the cost of 1) traveling to see and talk to recruits, 2) transporting potential recruits to Grand Forks (which is expensive) and 3) many more athletes from states with which we do not have tuition reciprocity agreements .... we may not have the money to do so. As an analogy, if I live in a big, fancy house, one might assume that I have lots of extra money. That may or may not be true - in many cases, it is not true. Just because UND is moving to DI does not mean that we will have the money to do a lot of things that we would like to do! If you think we will automatically be able to recruit nationwide, I suggest you talk to a few of UND coaches. They have specific budgets for recruiting. Everyone of them feel that that should have more - and that refers to being in DII. We just don't have the $ for it. All are concerned if their budgets will be increased enough to truly bring in more and better quality athletes!

What is your definition of "regardless of expense"? If dollars are not in the budget for that kind of travel/recruiting expenses, how would we pay for it?

We are letting yet another game get away by finishing poorly, not making free throws!

Walrus - just in case you didn't see this post. Any thoughts on either topic? I don't see that MSU has announced Jackson joining them as a preferred walkon.

Do we know when he is likely to make his decision? Also, you are close to the program. What are your thoughts on this year's red-shirt class? I know we lost a lot of kids to SU last year but that certainly doesn't mean it was a weak group! I am curious how much talent is there and who is likely to contribute soon.

It appears NDSU had a very good recruiting class as well. Two questions for Bison fans: 1) How long has SU had a Criminal Justice program? I didn't realize that you offered this. I see that 2-3 of your recruits plan to go into that field. 2) What is SU's definition of a "preferred walk-on"? Thanks!

What is the latest on Jackson?

I would guess that, in many cases, athletes were offered partials this year with the promise that they will turn into full rides next year. Plus, we did lose a lot of seniors.

UND's new website became a reality this evening. At first glance, it looks pretty good! Much better than the old one!

I assume their were recruits in over the weekend. Anyone know who visited? Apparently there were no immediate commitments?
